This one's mine. Loaded with the first two rounds of 00 Buck then alternates with slugs. It's not just used around the house and I don't want to be loading and unloading for different occasions.
It's been used to bust flying clays and with the 20" barrel, seems to do a good job. Granted my thrower is a little weak, but it's great practice.

(Dang, my phone's camera is crappy, sorry)

This is the only shotgun I currently own. Holds six, plus one in the chamber.
I don't recommend slam firing it, unless you have Superman's grip of steel.

I would like to add something to all this. Never trust your life to a shotgun such as the Escort Gladius. If its made in Turkey, the bolt could self destruct at anytime. I know this for a fact! Hatsun is the actual mfg, and I have given up dealing with them any longer. Parts break and they do not stand behind what they make.

Bummer, I bought a Hatsun .22 air rifle last year and I really like it... not looking forward to having problems with it.

PGO shotguns lend themselves to firing from the hip which is something I can not imagine ever being good in a home defense situation.

(or the week or so that I had a pistol grip on my Maverick 88)

I had a Charles Daly field tactical that was absolute garbage,

#1 Actually, it's not too bad if you have a tactical light that has the beam center at the point of aim.

#2 Me too.

#3 I didn't know any Charles Daly firearms were made in Turkey. That must have been after my O/U that I bought used. Made in Japan. It was a really nice shotgun but they used leaf springs for the trigger instead of coil springs so they used to break a lot.

High school football.. broke three carpal bones when I was 16. Finally had it surgically repaired at 33. Lived half of my life with a broken wrist. Had it cleaned out and bolted back together two bones are fixed, but one was a dud. Non-union fracture is what they call it. Maybe I'll wait another 18 years haha.

I'm still good with my handy, got a few that are dandy... have several rifeys, even a few for the wifey.... who just happens to be dandy with the handies. :s0165:

You have a rare woman for a wife, it's been my experience (that parallels universal conventional wisdom) that women (in general) suck at "handies".

:D

I like my JIC mossberg I got for Christmas this year from Santa , or wife, whatever you want to call it. :D

Out of curiosity, how far will a 7-1/2 shot 12 gauge projectile go. Holding over for the max distance, wind at your back, up drafts, all the best scenario to measure the farthest pellet traveled.

Skeet and trap ranges have figured this out a long time ago for obvious reasons. Link is the NSSA building a skeet range for dummies book.
Scroll down to page D-11 for shot fall distances for various shot sizes. In a nutshell trap and skeet ranges limit shot sizes to no larger than 7 1/2's and build their ranges with a 300 yd safety zone.

I don't know if the Hatsan airguns are as big a concern as other Turkish made guns. I've had 2 Hatsan air guns over several years and have yet never had a problem with them. Again, can't say for the 'real' guns they turn out, @Velzey certainly has the voice of experience there.

Oh she sucks, wait... different topic. She's a great woman, gave me two great boys, can cook, and she's got the tiniest hands. Makes my full size look like a desert eagle.... might just keep her around for a while.
