Thanks for cluing me in! I guess if you can't have the real thing, then airsoft sounds like a fun surrogate. Thing is, if this kid ever come into contact with a real gun, hopefully someone would teach him to respect it better than a toy. Between airsoft guns and guns in movies, he'd be ill equipped to handle a real gun without instruction. I had a gun go off near my face once (9mm pistol, long stupid story) and the muzzle blast, sound, etc. shocked me and rang my ears so bad I was disoriented for quite a while; like a flash bang effect
