They have taken some heat in Albany for doing this...Its nice to see them not cave in to all the anti gun crap. Said its going to take time to build the new sporting goods center up like they want and ammo is of course still hard to find. If you have some free time shoot them an email and tell em thx for carrying firearms and show them not everyone is a against this. Getting some letters to the editor in the local paper too...lots of pissed off liberals

Yeah, I know they have lost some shoppers over it, but we can help offset that I'm sure. Emails to corporate (in favor) would carry some weight.

There has to be a huge expense rolling out these expansions and it will take time to get them into all the stores they want too I suspect.

The Newberg Freddies just got some AR-15s in stock. Windham Weaponry, not sure what model. I ordered one online because it's a lot cheaper. The FFL I picked it up from was impressed. Can't wait to try it out. Ammo is kind of hit and miss at Fred's. It's a bit more expensive there. Oh, they also just got a M&P 15-22 in stock. A variety of hand guns too.

I have a Windham SRC, it's a beautiful thing, very nicely made. You're going to love it.

I did a lot of research before I bought, and for the cost, the reputation, the features, and the fact it fit my needs led me to
buy it. As I said, the FFL was very impressed, and that's the first time I've heard him make that comment about other guns
I've gotten through him.

I just noticed yesterday that the Freddy's in Port Orchard was being renovated. I didn't even think to check for a gun counter. I will have to stop by again to see if they added some new toys.

When I was a kid growing up in the 50-60's I loved to go to the basement in the old Hollywood Fred Meyers and look at the guns. The Winchester lever actions were my favorite. The only thing I ever really bought was .22 ammo and even then it was who had the cheapest .22, FM or the Coast Auto(now Sam's Billiards) across the street. It is hard to imagine that 60 years ago you could walk into two places on the same street across from one another and buy guns and ammo in the Hollywood District in Portland which nowadays the people freak out at the mere mention of the word gun. Also used to buy my toy cap guns and caps at FM, Coast Auto and Rogers Dept Store which is now Hollywood 42nd St. Station. I bought my HUBLEY COLT 45 TOY CAP GUN(looks exactly and is the same size as a Colt 1860 Army) from Rogers for $4.98 which even in the late 50's was a small fortune to a kid when the average cap gun sold for between $.50 to $2.00. They sell for around $100.00 now. I have lived all my life(62yrs) in a 25 block radius in Portland but I am going to move within the next few years as far away as possible from all the gun grabbers as possible.

I stopped by Issaquah today - small but decent collection including SIG, Springfield, Beretta, Kahr and other handguns, some 22 rifles and ammo. No high speed tactical operator gear though. :)

I had a thread like this a while back when I went into my local freddys in Vancouver WA they had guns I was like wahhhhhh!!! At the time Kroger (parent company) was getting Heat from Anti's about carrying guns in there stores. I went in about a week later and bam, pistols, ammo, rifles, shotguns. Needless to say I thought it was awesome but haven't spent a dime because they are over priced, and It feels like walking Into a porn shop your everyone's looking at you, and you feel a little dirty.
