Gun Sales Skyrocket in St. Louis.....

As rioting rocks St. Louis, residents are exercising their Second Amendment rights and pouring into gun stores to acquire the firearms they need to protect themselves, their families, and their property.
According to CBS St. Louis, "Gun sales are up across St. Louis." In fact, they have "quadrupled" at some area gun stores. Buyers are not simply the stereotypical white, male gun store customers. Instead, gun store owner Steve King described many of those pouring into his store--Metro Shooting--as "females, single mothers ... black people, white people ... [and] Asians."

King said those purchasing firearms are "just afraid of what's going on and they're coming in to purchase either additional firearms or their first firearm."

He stated that "nearly 100 percent say they are buying them for defensive purposes," and the types of guns purchased include "AR-15s, home defense shotguns, handguns, personal defense handguns ... for conceal[ed] carry."

King said that "he's personally seen the fear in their eyes and feels the sorrow in their hearts" when they come into his store.

this is a good thing! just proves we need to protect ourselves and those bleeding hearts can see first hand that the cops cant always be there.

hope it scares the crap out of the public while the fools tear up their own neighbourhoods ,let the public see the potential carnage if it comes their way!

He attacked a cop and tried to disarm him (violent felony assault) and there's zero proof yet he was running away. If he did that to a civilian in WA State he would be fair game

The victim had no criminal record.

He does have a criminal record. His violent actions are recorded right there in the surveillance video.

The question shouldn't be, "did he deserve to get shot and killed over cigars?". It should be, "was threatening/intimidating someone, physically accosting them and potentially breaking their neck worth a box of cigars?".

What is it with growing elements in our society that personal responsibility for one's actions that lead up to "bad things" happening are consistently overlooked?

Another thing people don't consider these days is just because someone is "unarmed" doesn't mean they aren't a deadly threat. Case in point, I don't recall any of the ORS concerning the lawful use of deadly force specifying the assailant needs to be "armed", and I'll bet that 95-lbs store clerk (outweighed by 200-lbs) was in fear of his life getting grabbed by his throat, and would have been justified in pulling a pocket gun and shooting that big schmuck right in his guts.
