Generally the OSP already does investigate that person. If you get denied on a 4473 it's not like you just walk out of the store. OSP will usually head down there, talk to the person and investigate what's going on. I think this proposal is specifically that they also have to notify local law enforcement. Whether that's county or city (or both) I'm unclear on. But I agree with you, this generally seems like a good thing and will hopefully take some of the burden off of OSP to handle all this stuff.Add boyfriend to list of possible domestic abusers that lose gun rights
Allows hold on guns until background check comes back eliminating the three day limit on wait.
This is the bad one-eliminate sale of regular capacity magazines. Stock up !
I have to admit one thing I DO like is that she is going to send red flags to the police when someone lies on a 4473 and gets caught. Frankly if someone is lying to get a gun I DO want them investigated.
No semi-auto ban yet
5 people in the audience.
As for the "loopholes", whatever…
But the magazine capacity thing is sad. She kept using the word "extended capacity" which I'm sure in their world means anything over 10 rounds? But she didn't get that specific. Either way, it's going to be legislation so I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it pans out in terms of what the details are and what chance it has of passing.
