Took the 13 yr old grandson to an NRA beginners class yesterday and then to the range with the class today. He had a good time and did pretty well for never shooting before. I had him shoot my LCR, but he wasn't prepared for the kick after shooting .22's. Likes the little Ruger .22 though.
Now to get the cleaning kit out.
 
Excellent. I know the feeling of not being ready for the kick after shooting .22's. I've got the .22 conversions and when I switch over to the larger calibers it surprises me when they go BANG!

I remember as a kid, an old friend of my mom's came to visit. I'd been shooting BB guns and .22s since I don't know when, but shooting his .45 woke me up! My kids have had a variety of guns to shoot, though. ;)
