Good time yesterday and today

Took the 13 yr old grandson to an NRA beginners class yesterday and then to the range with the class today. He had a good time and did pretty well for never shooting before. I had him shoot my LCR, but he wasn't prepared for the kick after shooting .22's. Likes the little Ruger .22 though.
Now to get the cleaning kit out.

Right on!!! Why so late in his yound life to get him shooting? Just curious. My kids were shooting @ 5 & 6 yo.

Excellent. I know the feeling of not being ready for the kick after shooting .22's. I've got the .22 conversions and when I switch over to the larger calibers it surprises me when they go BANG!

I remember as a kid, an old friend of my mom's came to visit. I'd been shooting BB guns and .22s since I don't know when, but shooting his .45 woke me up! My kids have had a variety of guns to shoot, though.
