I went to one of the buy backs they had in Portland a few years back it took me almost the whole evening to get this POS Spanish .25 auto so that the trigger would make the thing go click ( they said it had to work for the $50 card) it was so beat to crap. A buddy had given it to me when he ran into some trouble and could no longer own a firearm. I wouldn't have put a live round in it on a dare.

There were maybe 50 people in line when I was there and I saw no more then 3 firearms worth buying and I saw at least 4 totally illegal weapons (sawed off rifles and a sawed off shotgun) Most were rusty junk. There were a couple of guys that bought some decent stuff before it got into the line. I had heard someone saved a model 1906 Winchester from being turned in.

I took my $50 Freddies gift card down and filled the tank on my pickup then went to Fishermans Marine on my way home and bought 2 bricks of .22LR with the money I would have spent on gas.

Had a smile on my face the whole way home. They got a POS I got 2 bricks of .22LR and a POS out of my toy closet.

PS at the buy back I attended Portland Police was examining the firearms and I'm pretty sure unless they were a working firearm you wouldn't get anything for them. To get a $50 card the firearm had to at least appear to be in working condition. Otherwise I think you got $25 but it still had to be a real firearm. Hence the reason I made two parts for the POS I sold them so it went click when cocked and the trigger pulled.
