this is probably not 5 oclock news worthy, but I just (in a round about way) inherited some ammo. while most is fairly traditional I got some 22LR that is bird shot. It's basically a 22 shell that appears crimped at the tip that contains shot.

I suspect most of you may know about it. I had no idea. very cool.
 
When I was a Boy Scout we had the Remington Smoothbore .22's for shooting clays at a summer camp. If I remember correctly the clay thrower was very slow and close to allow us to have a chance at hitting them.
