Picked up my SBR this week from my SOT. It took about 8 weeks this time. Send the form on February 3; went into the system on the 10th; then approved April 6th.

Last year, I did (2) form 4's and (1) form 1; which averaged 35 days.

Now out to the range today for some fun with my South African R-series builds!

Outstanding! It is great to hear about a relatively quick turnaround on a Form 4. I have 2 Form 4's recently submitted, check cashed 03/26/2012...patiently waiting, but not really confident of a quick turnaround. The last ones I sumbitted a few years ago took 3-4 months to be approved.

Thats just amazing! Everything I have heard is 6 months minimum, Form 1, Form 4, etc. I sent a F1 in, in Dec. Went pending in early Jan, figure it will be june or july before I get it :(

Glad to here the ATF did good by someone.

ScorpioMK; It happened! plus my 3 other forms in 2011 averaged 35-40 days each.

aslinged: In these builds; I collected standard Galil parts; then the different R4-5 parts (sight hoods, rear handguard retainers, bipod with larger feet, wood handguard, etc) from all over the country for the past 2 years; then had them built on US receivers; although had the R5 receiver left blanksided from the manufacter; to put a double lightning cut on it.

Pinkhamr: Is that Korey from Silent Shooters?
