My kids give me a hard time because I start singing lyrics and they're nothing like what the song says. I remember
" Shake it like a cardboard pizza" Was actually "shake it like a Polaroid picture".
And I used to sing " Do it like a lady". Was actually "dude looks like a lady". That was a bad one... I try to just keep my mouth shut

Here in this hopeless f***ing hole we call L.A.
The only way to fix it is to flush it all away.
Any f***ing time. Any f***ing day.
Learn to swim, I'll see you down in Arizona Bay.
-Tool

Or "excuse me while I kiss this guy"
-Hendrix

I'm terrible at most lyrics.. I don't even bother.

Another Talking Heads song, this one titled "(Nothing But) Flowers".

The song is about "a world where modern progress has been reverted to a more natural state, due either to a political movement, a global disaster, or by a necessity, such as dealing with overpopulation." Not necessarily a political view I agree with, but it's a catchy tune nonetheless.

This was a Pizza Hut
Now it's all covered with daisies
you got it, you got it

I miss the honky tonks,
Dairy Queens, and 7-Elevens
you got it, you got it

And as things fell apart
Nobody paid much attention
you got it, you got it

I dream of cherry pies,
Candy bars, and chocolate chip cookies
you got it, you got it

We used to microwave
Now we just eat nuts and berries
you got it, you got it

"I'll tell you once more before I get off the floor, don't bring me down..."

That's what I have stuck in my head right now. As for favorites, I wouldn't know where to start narrowing it down to just a few.

When it released I listend to The Wall like 100 times (on vinyl)

Just streamed it over the weekend, because.

"Ok, just a little pin prick,
Then they'll be no ahhhahahhh,
But you may feel a little sick
Can you stand up? I do believe its working good, that'll get you going they the show - comon' it time to go"
Comfortably numb - Pink Floyd

Rodger Waters is doing The Wall at the Tacoma dome in June I think - I caught it a couple years ago in Portland and is by far my favorite show to date.

I highly recommend getting seats - it's designed so the better seats are Half way back.

I super torn between trying to go and just leaving it as the best show ever or going and maybe having my expectations ruined a little (which has happened at other shows).

Sometimes it would be easier if I only liked one kind of music and then i could say this or that is my favorite whatever's but even with all of my diversity I can still say The Wall is one of a handful of favorites - easily;)

"It's time to go home now,
But I've got an aching head.
So I toss her the car keys,
And she'll help me to bed.
And then I'll tell her,
As I turn out the lights,
I'll say my darling,
Your were wonderful tonight.
Oh, my darling,
You were wonderful tonight."

All are from R.L. Burnside (look him up he is fairly interesting - did a collab album where a Dj did the some of the background music and did a great job keeping it bluesy but updating it a bit):

"I'm not afraid of being insane
Been here too long
And I've seen too much"

"She asked me why?
Why I liked this song.
So I just went ahead and told her...
It's bad you know."

"You can tell me what to do,
i pay rent here!"
