Libertarians are about as close as it gets to political anarchists in this age... self proclaimed anarchists are more akin to socialists or practice noninvolvement. In any case, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.Well, a little off topic. The guy in this scenario was a friendly. But people who would do us ill have the same right to firearm ownership as we do so long as they can pass a background check. It scares me to think of the anarchists running around in Seattle, et al, exercising this right.

Anarchy is defined as the radical abolition of the state, which anarchists hold to be undesirable, unnecessary and harmful. I didn't see much in the above link about promoting anarchy, particularly when one considers his stated position on gun control (or more precisely, gun rights). From the above-cited passage:
"Johnson opposes federal and state gun control legislation, saying: "I'm a firm believer in the Second Amendment and so I would not have signed legislation banning assault weapons or automatic weapons."[167] Johnson says that the Second Amendment "was designed to protect us against a government that could be very intrusive. And in this country, we have a growing police state - if people can own assault rifles or automatic rifles, I think leads to a more civil government."[167] Johnson would, however, limit weapons such as rocket launchers.[167] Johnson believes that allowing concealed carrying of guns reduces crime and gun violence.[167][168]"
That was the stated position of the Libertarian Party candidate in the 2016 election. I would have thought that many members of this board would have found that position somewhat refreshing...

I'd rather there not be a background check to exercise a right. Freedom is scary, just like in real life...Well, a little off topic. The guy in this scenario was a friendly.
