Cleaning my gun
What is the best, low cost, way to clean my S&W M&P? Remember the M&P is not all metal. And the best oil too. Can spray? Baths? Oil that can bind with the metals? CLP's which one? Strike hold or Breakfree?
Then I found this art:

i assume we're talking pistol? or rifle?

for striker fired pistols, less is more.. i clean my glocks with a brush with a little bit of solvent (PB blaster, usually, or hoppes sometimes), scrub most of the grime out/off, dry wipe it down with a paper towel, and apply a thin coat of mobile 1 to the wear spots, paying particular attention to the rails and slots. dont lube any of the internal parts, and especially make sure no lube gets into the striker bore/channel- this can cause NDs.

if you're talking about the rifle, totally different.
