Ceasefire Oregon is sending out notices asking members to call Senator Jackie Winters and ask her to vote for the four gun control bills that will be coming up for a vote. They claim that she has not made a yes or no committment on these bills, even though she is a Republican. It's not a bad idea to give her office a call and drop her an email. Whenever there has been anyone in the office the times that I have called, the person on the other end has been very supportive of our constitutional rights and also candid about their feelings about elitist regulations.
This isn't over yet. I suspect that many of the Democrats would like this to die without a vote so that they can wring their hands in sorrow over it not passing, instead of being on the record voting for control over the people. No idea if that's how it will come out in the end but we have to stay alert on this.
