I think if you reread the thread, and weed out the obvious joke posts, the vast majority of folks here would not rule out eating someone who was already dead, albeit with extreme reluctance. I think there is a very small minority of folks who would kill another human to eat, and those are probably the same folks who would have no hesitation to kill you to get the $100 in your pocket or the car you are driving.

You are likely correct. However, if the 81 "cannibals" would answer honestly, I would bet that the majority of those who answered in the affirmative have never even killed, butchered, and eaten an animal or bird. Also, that the same majority has never been in the presence of a dead human other than as part of the funeral process. While it may be an interesting intellectual exercise, the poll results are likely more "pipe dream" than anything.

To be honest, I have already staked out a mental claim on particularly juicy looking forum members just in case things go south. I panic pretty easily so some of you guys might want to make sure your guns are loaded if we have any heavy snow this year and I know where you live. :D

You might want to be more concerned about where I lifted your address the last time you used your credit card there. :winkkiss:

Besides, I am not involved at all in the day-to-day business anymore. I even let the new co-owner change the name. :)

Wow. Way too many pages to read just for this. So I am gonna have to agree with this:

Wait...what...you gotta be starving first? Yah...I'm down for long-pig. But I got news for you, I'm not about to wait till I'm starving. If I'm out of options, than I'm gonna take out the competition long before I'm actually starving.

Thats totally right. I would too. Because i'd rather be in good shape if i had to "take game" if it ever comes to this. Honestly, i really don't think i would have a moral dilema over it, unless it was a loved one. Besides... humans have been involved in canibalism since the dawn of time.

I agree and I would like to add as humans we have a deep-rooted aversion to cannibalism. Studies have shown before humans resort to cannibalism they will attempt to eat anything and everything in the area – even things known to be unpalatable. Also humans normally do not choose to kill others for the sole purpose of consumption as most stories of cannibalism revealed those who were eaten had already died therefore eliminating the need to choose whether to kill or not.

Actually, there are many historical records concerning the natives of the Gulf of Mexico and associated islands that describe the murder and consumption of humans in front of europeans. The Caribes were noted cannibles and the inventors of the term BBQ- for roasting humans.

Did you hear why the cannibal was so sad?
His girlfriend gave him the cold shoulder.

His bad luck continued too. He got stopped by a traffic cop and the ticket cost him and arm and a leg, even though he asked the officer to have a heart.

The policeman knew it was a cannibal he was stopping as the license plate read, "I812". (sound it out)

Finally after all that the cannibal won back his girlfriend's affection by giving her a box of Farmer Fannies.

That's all I got folks!

Theres a special place in **** for cannibals.

But apparently it's OK to burn corpses to generate electricty
Posted on December 2, 2011 at 2:27pm by Liz Klimas
Many industries are seeking out alternative energies to help cut costs and emissions, and crematoriums are no different. According to The Telegraph, crematoriums are required by U.K. regulatory agencies to cut emissions in half by next year, nixing them all together by 2020.
One crematorium is dead set on making the most of the resources available to it to achieve these emission-cutting requirements — literally. The Durham Crematorium wants use the heat generated by burning corpses to spin turbines and create enough electricity to power 1,500 televisions per cremation process, according to the Telegraph. And it isn't the first crematorium to take on this efficiency endeavor. The Telegraph reports that other crematoria already have systems in place to generate energy for heating the building, offices and, it states in one case, a swimming pool at a sports center.

The Telegraph states that the project will take place in two phases:
The first phase, due to be completed early next year, will see a "heat recovery system" fitted to one burner to provide heating for the building.
A second phase is planned which then see the installation of turbines on the other two burners to generate electricity. A series of open days are planned, in an effort to get public support for the scheme.

The crematorium's superintendent, Alan José, is reported as saying the building will probably have energy to spare that they will contribute to "the grid":
"Apart from it being common sense for us to try to conserve energy, it also enables us to keep the fees down."

José does point out that the crematorium doesn't want to be labeled as a power plant though, already turning down the idea of solar panels.
The Telegraph reports that in the U.K., 75 percent of the dead are cremated, and Durham Crematorium estimates they have more than 2,000 services a year. With this opportunity for savings, John Troyer from Bath University's Centre for Death and Society (CDAS) is reported as saying the process will probably continue to gain popularity, but it is important to take time implementing so as not to seem "too glib, insensitive or utilitarian"
UN Agenda 21

I've gone five days without any food and not once did the thought of eating a person ever cross my mind. People suck and I'm pretty sure they'd take bad.

Speaking of Socialist caused Holocausts: The one huge problem during the Nazie, Chinese, Cambodian and Soviet Holocausts was body disposal. I imagine that's why Bill Ayers planned to have his "Re-education/Execution Camps in the American South-West; it's a handy spot to bury the 30 million he planned on murdering. But now even buried, decayed bodys can tell a story through DNA and dental records.
But now, inconvienent souls can be Disappeared in thier home town and turned to untraceable dust in hours. Just invite them to a memorial service, knock em on the head and toss em on the conveyer belt. No massive round-up, heavy usage of petro fuels for trucking and excavation, no sanitation facilities, piles of clothes, hair and teeth. The enemies of the state pay for thier digressions by generating Electricity and turn to dust in the same operation. If you do not think there are not 1000's who would voulenteer to do the kidnappings, think again.
Plus it is SOOOO Enviromentaly Friendly!:)
