I visited this topic before in this thread:
http://northwestfirearms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1556
and the general consensus seemed to be that it was fine--only FFLs cannot sell handguns to people under 21--so I went ahead and bought a lovely pre-B CZ-75 in a private sale. Today, however, I was trying to buy a Colt Huntsman from graydog, but he even called one of his friends who has an FFL and it was discovered that he could not sell to me after all. I'm not flaming him or anything, I'd probably be leery of it too. In fact he was very polite and the non-deal went over very smoothly, lol. I don't want to commit a felony any more than the next guy so I'd like to examine this topic again.
The laws are posted here:
https://www.oregonlegislature.gov/bills_laws/ors/ors166.html
If I'm interpreting these laws right, 166.250-270 seem to cover the possession and 166.410 up cover sales and there is nothing preventing me from going through with the purchase.
I even took the CCW class with it already, heh.
