The girl might get some money from the mall and its insurer, but the store and the shooter are shallow pockets. If she can make a negligent hiring claim stick against the store then the store's insurer might pay up.

The shooter being a "co owner" must have a lot to do with this. I guess being part owner in the place he did not like the idea of letting scum just take anything they want as is the custom now in CA. Would be interesting to find out who the shooter voted for.

I had to wonder about the "mind set" on that part too. Like WTF did he think was going to happen after he ran off? Is he saying he was trying to get to his Attorney's office ?
