Agree to disagree.
I knew you meant it when you said "For better or for worse"!

Oh man. Adding 300 dollars to the price of a 1911 because it looks like it's been drug behind a truck and then slapping a spartan helmet and some dumb lettering on it annoys me to no end.I thought it was a parody of molon labe decals.
The othe day I was giving a subordinate a hard time about some jeans like that. When he told me how much he paid for them (as if to justify it) I told him I would have sold him half a pair of jeans for a quarter of that, if he'd asked nicely.Totally agree. Maybe it's like the distressed clothing fad (which probably isn't a fad any more because it's been popular for decades). Maybe it's age related. I don't see many old dudes like me walking around in new (distressed) jeans. I don't see many old dudes like me with intentionally grimy guns.
(My apologies to you "young" dudes.)

(These are CURRENTLY for sale online. It's a real thing. )
Same for me - guns gotta be cleaned after the range. Must be some type of inherited genetic trait, like needing the toilet paper to come of the top of the roll versus down the back.
YupMy cargo pants have rips from work. And exist in perpetual state of rust stains from my chains and chain binders. I spend $15 on pants then make money at work to get my distressed look. Then laugh at people who spend $200 on jeans.
Meanwhile I had to sew the cargo pants that were $15. If he wanted pants that made him look like he works, I got a shelf full of em in the truck. At $60 a pop.The othe day I was giving a subordinate a hard time about some jeans like that. Guns are tools and tools are meant to be used. It's not that we "abuse" our guns, it's that we treat them like tools. We're not afraid to get them marred up, scratched, et cetera. Nothing worse than a tool that sits in the shed 24/7... or a firearm that sits in the safe...
Same deal. Blew the crotch out of a pair of cargo pants a couple weeks ago, tried to stitch them up, but they were cheap enough that I felt justified tossing them and buying another pair.Meanwhile I had to sew the cargo pants that were $15. Same, but when you're on the road and gotta get out to untarp and all that, you gotta stitch em up so the forkies and crane operators don't see what ya got underneath!Same deal. As the guy in charge of the forkies, I appreciate that.Same, but when you're on the road and gotta get out to untarp and all that, you gotta stitch em up so the forkies and crane operators don't see what ya got underneath!

Same story, one is a chick though, would you hit it if she just barfed up chili dogs, pickled eggs, but was still farting the remainder out with a charge of IPA induced gas? So even if we were gay, it wasn't a sexy moment!
As long as she sucks the chili back off my schlong
I would not expect to see that kind of pitting in stainless... am I wrong? Truly, IDK, I could be under a wrong impression or operating on the wrong info!!

Remember, you paid good money to enjoy that liquor, so if you're going to yak it back up, do so with a smile and try not to let it run out your nose.Like sniffing a fart to reminisce about the chili dogs and pickled eggs of last night, forgetting you puked them up on your doorstep after drinking a fifth of fireball and 7 IPAs?
Easy way to weed these cucksockers out -- to earn the badge, you have to have dumped your motorcycle at over 55mph.Why has it become a badge of honor to have a beat-up gun that hasn't ever been cleaned?
