yeah, phonebooks are cheap....but very bulky to store and I'm not sure how valuable they'll be. Still it won't hurt especially if you are prepping on a budget. Things like storing water and phonebooks are cheap or free- so that is a GREAT start.

Plus I don't think we'll have phonebooks delivered to our homes for very much longer....they will go the way of the newspaper...but more quickly I think
 
Any buddy stock up on old phone books? I could think of three things off the top of my head to use old phone books for 1.) TP
2.) Fire starter. 3.) Stuff it in wet boots to help dry them out.

Any other idea's?

I would rather stock up on Costco TP.
Better for its intended use, and fires. Not good for boot drying though.
More useful if there is never a catastrophe. Old phone books will never get used if nothing happens.

True - but phone books are cheaper and more compact than Costco TP.

Maybe Costco TP for self, phone books for barter?
