A hotel was robbed but the thing that kind of made me cringe was this statement from the guy who got pistol whipped/robbed:

"I’ve done retail, hospitality my whole life. I’ve been trained what to do if I’m ever robbed. You obey their commands and do what they tell you to do and that’s what I did," he said.

Sounds like a junky by description. Good thing no one was shot. Thing is he is probably going to do it again, due to his getting away with it .

If you aren't armed, or have no chance to deploy a weapon, "doing what you're told" is a really damned good idea.

Resisting a guy with a gun with your fists is a tactic almost guaranteed to provoke a needless tragedy.

VERY FEW robbers will take everyone to the back room and kill them.

Your chances of surviving an encounter with an armed robber go down significantly with unarmed resistance. -Of course I realize everyone here is a Ninja, so naturally, this doesn't apply to you.
