Yeah - I just eat mostly salmon filets about once a week, and take fish oil capsules (although I heard they do nothing special - my cardiologist told me to take them).
The fish oil capsules have omega-3 fatty acids in them, which is s'posed to be healthy/good for you. You just gotta make sure you get the ones with enough of the acids in them. You're probably already getting all the omega-3 fatty acids you need from the salmon, depending upon how big the servings are that you eat.

I take 2 ~ 1,000-mg softgels/day, one in the morning and one at night. The two gels contain a total of 600 mg of actual omega-3 fatty acids. From what I could find, adults should consume a minimum of 250 mg of omega-3 fatty acids per day, so I figure I'm in the range... :s0092:

I am not certain how bad crop losses and the destruction of so many food processors will hit the US, But much of our food processors have had fires and meltdowns this past year or so. I'm more concerned of the inflation aspect of foods. Prices are getting too high for the average paycheck to paycheck earner.

That's OK, California.gov wants to make fast food minimum wage $20/hr. Other socialist state.govs will follow in lock step.

Everything's fine…

Most fish oils are rancid on the shelves and do more harm than good. Check dates carefully. Norwegian Cod Liver Oil is superior to fish oils in almost every way.

Using healthy oils like Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, or Avocado Oils vs Seed or so-called 'vegetable' oils is far more important. The later is all you will get eating out. From fast food to fancy restaurants you are being served the worst thing for your heart and body. Even worst than sugars because they remain stored in the body for over two years causing inflation, cancers, you name it.

As for Tuna, its a LARGE fish so yes Mercury is a concern. Eat smaller fish like Sardines, Herrings which are high in Omega-3s but lower in Omega-6s and toxins. Now and then no huge deal with Tuna. Brands that 3rd party test for Mercury a plus.

If exposed to a lot of Mercury and other toxins over time, consider Oral Chelation (Cardio Renew) for a week or two and flush them out of your body, clear out calcium and other bad things in your arteries. On a HA risk scale of 1-3, I was 2.6 and now am at .6

Just be forewarned that your first bowel movements for the first couple days smell worse than a rotting corpse. That is all the toxins sitting in your bloodstream and fat cells for years. Oral Chelation and in IV form are 100% legit. Hospitals are doctors will never discuss it because surgeries and statins mean recurring $$$$$$$ and that is all the matters these days.

Yeah - i was grocery shopping yesterday, and I noticed that no small amount of the foods I bought were 50% higher in price than what I paid a year or two ago. Actually noticed that before now, but saw it again. E.G., a can of chili used to cost $1 or less, now costs $1.50. Dollar tree raised all of their min prices from $1 to $1.25

I did get some decent prices on food at Costco - but I tried to be careful about what I buy there; I mostly only get stuff when it is on sale and often stock up - e.g.; Marie Callender's pot pies - 8 for $9 ($5 instant rebate) and I bought 24. That is ~$1.10 per pie and the pies weigh almost twice as much (and are better quality) as the Banquet/Swanson pot pies which cost which usually cost about $1.20 per pie.

Going lower carb for a bit. I picked these up yesterday for $12 total.

Also picked up two 4lb packs of lil smokies for $10 total.

This morning I picked up 6 packs of low carb tortillas for 2.79 each.

Air fryer does a great job on dogs.

Somehow I don't believe US farmers are going to allow this since most are probably armed.

Actually, in some cases, at least in the past, this was allowed, or would be. I watched the first part of the vid and the people were picking up scraps after the harvester went thru. In my time on various farms, including that of my family's, I've seen some farmers allow some people to go thru and scrounge left over crop after the harvest was finished.

Would it happen today?

Probably not - due to liability and inconsiderate people who would damage trees/etc.

Im not shocked by this behavior at all because ive known for a longtime about Chinas infamous problem with gutter/sewer cooking oil. I get a little skeeved out now eating any Chinese food even from here in the States. Their Gov is really good at covering up the seemingly perpetual hunger and poverty the populace lives under.

About 40 years ago I pulled over near Ventura CA and picked a Orange and got threatened at the end of a shotgun.
Didn't really see it as stealing at the time, however the person definitely disagreed.

As my parents would have said, "Just think what happens if everybody who drives by did that..."

I bet that's what that farmer was thinking too!
