The radical leftist Washington Supreme Court suspended the bar exam requirement for prospective lawyers during the covid years. I don't know if it's been re-instated. Here is a news excerpt quoting the Dean at Seattle University School of Law which led to the decision.
In a letter to the court, the school's dean, Annette Clark, wrote that students' lives had been "turned upside-down" by the pandemic and the civil unrest that followed the "senseless killings" of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor at the hands of police.
"Some of our students have said they have trouble sleeping, with the sound of helicopters overhead, the thunder of flash-bang grenades nearby and the stench of tear gas drifting indoors," Clark wrote. "The emotional toll of the killings is high and taxing the graduates' ability to effectively prepare for the bar exam."

America is lost.
….."we cannot and will not condone hateful rhetoric on our campuses."During the recent graduation ceremony at CUNY Law School, one of the student speakers gave a speech which basically blamed all the ills of the world on whites and Jews. To the cheers and applause of the audience, she implied that violence towards whites and Jews was justified to combat "white supremacy". The leftist media ignored or downplayed this story with a tacit nod of approval. After being repeatedly confronted on the facts, the Board of Trustees and Chancellor of the City University of New York released the following statement yesterday acknowledging that the student's speech was "hate speech". Alinsky's Rules for the win.
"Free speech is precious, but often messy, and is vital to the foundation of higher education.
"Hate speech, however, should not be confused with free speech and has no place on our campuses or in our city, our state or our nation.
"The remarks by a student-selected speaker at the CUNY Law School graduation, unfortunately, fall into the category of hate speech as they were a public expression of hate toward people and communities based on their religion, race or political affiliation.
"The Board of Trustees of the City University of New York condemns such hate speech.
"This speech is particularly unacceptable at a ceremony celebrating the achievements of a wide diversity of graduates, and hurtful to the entire CUNY community, which was founded on the principle of equal access and opportunity. CUNY's commitment to protecting and supporting our students has not wavered throughout our 175-year existence and we cannot and will not condone hateful rhetoric on our campuses."
