Especially considering that the Cougs have NO run game. Not even enough to keep a defense honest.

Of course, maybe if they used the last half of the fourth quarter of games they can't win, to get some run game footage, and develop a couple of running backs, and some blocking schemes,...
They would have more than a "pass only" offense, that gets them their butts handed to them by good teams.

IMHO, Aliotti has it right.
And he's been around, at ALL levels of the game, long enough to know.

Hypocritical? How so?
The Ducks' starters have only played 4 series in the 4th quarter this year.
They played in the 4th quarter for the FIRST time this season, last weekend against the Huskies.
Marcus and the starters have all been on the bench by the middle of the 3rd quarter, until the Huskies.

The Duckies like to get the freshmen and the 3rd, and 4th stringers some playing time.
Unlike coach Leach.

To accuse other teams of padding stats when you outscore opponents an average of 58-17 silly. Stats is obviously all he cares about and that's why he's pissed the Cougs scored 38 against him.

And if you're hangin' that many points on your opponents in less that 3 quarters, should they just let up at halftime?

Actually, someone else mentioned that the reason Leach left Halliday in the game, was because until the last 1/2 of the 4th quarter, Halliday had thrown more interceptions(4) than touchdowns(2).

But whatever.
The Ducks have the statistic that counts.
That big green "W" in the win column.

When you've been involved with coaching for 30+ years like Aliotti has, you're allowed to be a little crusty. Especially defensive coordinators.

Leach and his fans should just grow a little thicker skin, if their coach keeps up his low-class ways.
Maybe he'll get nasty with more of his players and have them leave early for the draft like last year.

What? Umm no but I didn't make the hypocritical comment Allioti did. I think that for the price of tickets to a game these days, both teams should go all out for 4 qrts. Lets see a show.

And if you really are far enough ahead that you play the second string, wouldn't you want them to have experience against the opponents first string, otherwise whats the point?

And should other teams just lay down and forfeit because they have no chance against the mighty ducks?

Is that what the Ducks will do against Bama....if they make it that far?

Allioti is a defensive coordinator so of course he's going to be upset when any teams scores any points at all against his defense.
That's football man....get over it.

My buddy was on the team. Didn't play at all. He said allioti is a weirdo. He said he was always fighting with another coach.
