Fox actually ran interview this eve with a former FBI profilier who blamed bad parenting and violent video games.

I blame it on the criminal - shooter, illegal drugs and Rx psycho babble - legal drugs - side effects, large amounts of booze, bad parenting, violent video games, glorifying gang rap music and their GANG IDOLS in and out of Holly-weird and in the so called music industry.

Disclaimer: I have never seen a video game other than in a movie or boob tube clip.

I blame it on many things (A long list!) but I blame the criminal - shooter first.

The .gov folks may not call it MK ULTRA any longer and use another NAME for their very real programs that they used in the past but I do believe that some of these types of programs are still in existence.

Many people are just plain amoral too.

I meant that in the broad societal term. Shows like Dancing with the Stars, etc are meant to
put the population asleep.

Who has the tactical advantage:

Person A: Someone who has planned and is executing a mass shooting, carrying a long rifle and wearing body armor.

Person B: Good guy concealed carrying your standard 9mm handgun, buying school supplies with his kid?

I'd have to have my head up my ...... if I could distort reality enough to convince myself it was Person B who had the advantage here.

I worked in Nursing, Gerry-psyche & Hospice care for many years. We had one worker who
sat there staring at their FB feed while a patient has a Stroke feet away- that patient never
walked again.

There was also the subway bomber who just burned themselves with chemicals in NY. 19 out
of 20 people in the photo were staring at their photo while the bomb went off.

In France there were cases where people drove heavy trucks through holiday crowds or
the Christmas shooting in Strasbourg. In this country these events take place in large crowds
where people have "Turned their minds off" if you see my point.

These events all seem to take place in large gatherings, where people have "turned their minds
off", they have gone through some kind of security and/or are locked in some kind of pen like
Las Vegas. We use to call that shooting fish in a barrel, I think the military calls it a "Kill Box".

Personally I don't go to large gatherings any more and haven't for some time. If I go to a restaurant
or another place I refuse to sit with my back to the door and I sit by an emergency exit. There are many
other things things that one can do to enhance ones safety: Situational Awareness is the first.

my wife and i carry and we train on the range regularly.

my father in law carries, hes a disabled vietnam vet. my dad and brother carry also.

No, my room mates are clueless. There have been many cases in PDX where people have been
stabbed by outside attackers, with their own kitchen knives, while sitting on their couch...that is the epitome of someone
who is clueless and defenseless.

We killed our tv quite a while back.
My I.Q. went up 37 points in 3 weeks.
