Kinda digging your paint scheme above. I might have to try that out.
Irregular torn strips of masking tape placed to keep the black stripes. The more jagged and irregular the better. Paint over it with light colors. My experience is to go easier on the black and use it to break/disrupt the rifle's outline. I've redone those rifles in some parts to reduce the black. Go get 'em, tiger.
