shockwave
In physics, a shock wave (also spelled shockwave), or shock, is a type of propagating disturbance. When a wave moves faster than the local speed of sound in a fluid it is a shock wave. Like an ordinary wave, a shock wave carries energy, and can propagate through a medium; however it is characterized by an abrupt, nearly discontinuous change in pressure, temperature and density of the medium. In supersonic flows, expansion is achieved through an expansion fan also known as a Prandtl-Meyer expansion fan.
Unlike solitons (another kind of nonlinear wave), the energy of a shock wave dissipates relatively quickly with distance. Also, the accompanying expansion wave approaches and eventually merges with the shock wave, partially cancelling it out. Thus the sonic boom associated with the passage of a supersonic aircraft is the sound wave resulting from the degradation and merging of the shock wave and the expansion wave produced by the aircraft.
When a shock wave passes through matter, energy is preserved but entropy increases. This change in the matter's properties manifests itself as a decrease in the energy which can be extracted as work, and as a drag force on supersonic objects; shock waves are strongly irreversible processes.
As the tittle suggests, I’m looking to buy one of the new Remington TAC 14s or the Mossberg Shockwave. I have a brand new Ruger LCRX .38 with a few goodies I’d be willing to trade or $350 cash. Preferably would not have the gun shot to hell.
Located in Clark County.

MOSSBERG SHOCKWAVE. MOSSBERG SHOCKWAVE. Comes with voodoo tactical scabbard. Round count is under 10. Open to trades for hunting rifle, shotguns and 280 rem ammo.$350. Buyer pays transfer. I will only go to Ticklickers.
New and unfired.
I removed it from the packaging to thoroughly clean and lube, a little heavy, to repackage and be placed into the safe for deep storage. Was purchased as a collection item. I’ve decided it is tying up funds and needs to go.
So included is the “pump pistol” original packaging...
Is it better to buy the KAK dimpled buffer tube or does the shockwave brace work well with a milspec buffer tube? I haven't seem to find one with the KAK buffer with a heavier 9mm buffer but I have found milspec tubes with heavier buffers.
Now that the OSP has requested that these be classified as a "pump pistol" when transferring, does that make them a pistol under OR law and therefore legal to carry concealed?
Any other states where this may apply?
I know federal law says it isn't a pistol or a shotgun or a rifle - it is...
These got a lot more interesting when OPS classified them as pump pistols.
New in Box, ready for fun! The six shot Mossberg 12 gauge spends 14" of its 26.37" overall length on the barrel. Much more comfortable to shoot over the traditional pistol grip this black matte beast has several...
Updated with letter from the state.
Welp it looks like the OSP is delaying everyone trying to purchase a Mossy 590 Shockwave and the Remington Tac 14.
I knew it was only a matter of time.
I called OSP and confirmed it tonight.
Remington has begun producing their version of the "Shockwave" firearm known as the Tac-14. If you like the Shockwave, you will probably like the Remington product even more.
If you go to GunBlast.com you can watch a video that will illustrate how well it works.
I know that I will eventually...
I have wondered about this. Theoretically, could I replace the bird's head grip with a bird's head grip of the same dimensions. (roughly, possibly thinner side to side as I have small hands) I was also thinking that black stained AAAA flame maple might look pretty slick and might get some...
