muzzle device
A muzzle brake or recoil compensator is a device connected to, or a feature integral to the construction of, the muzzle or barrel of a firearm or cannon that is intended to redirect a portion of propellant gases to counter recoil and unwanted muzzle rise. Barrels with an integral muzzle brake are often said to be ported. The concept of a muzzle brake was first introduced for artillery and was a common feature on many anti-tank guns, especially those mounted on tanks, in order to reduce the area needed to take up the strokes of recoil and kickback. They have been used in various forms for rifles and pistols to help control recoil and the rising of the barrel that normally occurs after firing. They are used on pistols for practical pistol competitions, and are usually called compensators in this context.
I'm selling a Warden and SFMB 556 muzzle device. I'm looking for $300 for the package, PayPal F&F. At this time, I’m not interested in separating them.
Apparently AAC is still in limbo on so many fronts, I could not order a 51T muzzle device from my LGS. I've been scouring online and everywhere they say the devices are discontinued. Maybe someone here can find a source.
This is a used POF USA 10.5" 300 BLK barrel with an adjustable gas block, a POF USA handguard and a Dead Air Keymount muzzle brake. I'm the original owner and it's about 3 years old with a few thousand rounds through it. I ask $200.
Simple. Classic. Elegant. Effective.
Cheap.
Unless you're mounting a suppressor or have an extremely short barrel, everything else is overrated and unnecessary. You can trust my opinion because I'm a random guy on the internet.
Used for one range outing, only selling it because I finally got...
I ordered a PSA 8" 9mm pistol for my honey and being unfamiliar with PCC's need some help finding a good muzzle device. So far I'm mostly finding linear compensators that apparently move the sound and flash forward but don't seem to improve recoil or muzzle rise. (AFAIK)
The thread is 1/2×28 and...
Bought new less than a year ago but replaced with non-Warcomp 3 prong flash hider. Great condition, hardly used. Comes with rockset, instructions, and all shims needed. New shim kit to be delivered in a few days and will be provided. Comes in the Flashhider package that my new muzzle device...
Brand new PSA 5.56 Fluted Flash Can. Installed on a barrel that has never been fired. I removed it because I decided to go a different way for this build. My loss is your gain! Save off the retail price plus the cost of shipping and taxes...
Let's be honest this is really a faux suppressor. This came on my fx9. I didn't like it and replaced it with an actual muzzle brake. Does has scratches from removing it.
I dont know where I'd file this under with muzzle devices. Not a brake. Not a comp. Not a flash hider. Supposed to help trap additional gas to help the gun cycle more reliable. Especially when shooting subsonic loads without Suppressor. 5/8-28 thread pitch. Looks super cool and works...
Has had 6 rounds through it before I put my suppressor muzzle device on. Like new.
762/308 VG6 Gamma $65 shipped.
Will consider trade and or trade plus cash on my end for a radian SD (suppressed model) charge handle in black.
What do you Charger owners like for a flash suppressor? I've seen everything from the A2 birdcage-style to Chinese-made fake cans (not those kind of fake cans, ones for guns) and of those two extremes I lean heavily towards the simpler A2 style.
These have 1/2x28 threads like an AR15, but...
I have a screwball 15x1mm threaded barrel and I have a Sig SRD556TI-QD suppressor in Form 4 jail. I am trying to figure out my best option for making the two work. Sig does not make a QD in that thread pattern. I have heard of machinists drilling out threads, taping for a plug, then drilling and...
