marlin 336
The Marlin Model 336 is a lever-action rifle and carbine made by Marlin Firearms. Since its introduction in 1948, it has been offered in a number of different calibers and barrel lengths, but is commonly chambered in .30-30 Winchester or .35 Remington, using a 20- or 24-inch barrel. Currently, the model with a 24-inch barrel is only available in .30-30 Winchester. The Model 336 is currently produced by Remington Arms.
I am on the lookout a cheap wood rifle stock that I can use for a project. Ideally would be a plain Marlin 60 wood stock but would take a Glenfield Squirrel stock too. Closer to the Canby Molalla Mulino area the better. Send me a PM with what you have. Would be nice to not have cracks...
Nice Marlin lever action 336 in good ol 30-30. Very good shape with a few scratches on the wood.

Will consider most configurations or manufacturers (no Century R1A1), but prefer forged receivers, metric, chrome lined 18" or longer barrels, fixed stock, carry handles, and bipods. Including a pile of mags would be nice too. Not looking for...
Looking for a Marlin 336 CB 30-30. This is the Cowboy model, produced about 25 years ago, 24" octagon barrel with straight grip stock. Let me know if you have one or any leads. Thanks.
I've seen older Winchester lever actions with double set triggers - very expensive.
I wouldn't mind getting a set trigger for my BLR takedown in .308. Of my lever actions, this is the one that would probably benefit the most, due to it being a better long range cartridge than the others (.44...
If you are looking for a beautiful safe queen, this one isn't for you. It has some characteristics on the fore end, bought it that way. Action is smooth, extract smoothly, shoots great. If it matters to you, JM stamped, serial # indicates a 1971 rifle.

Up for sale is a 1979 Glenfield Model 30A (Marlin 336) in 30-30. The Glenfields were "budget" 336s back in the day, and from my understanding meant cheaper wood without much else being budget. This thing seems to be better made than modern guns, though, as the wood was heat-treated for a custom...
Well, we finally got the house sold in Washington and headed home to Montana. By a stroke of good fortune, the first gun show I went to had a Marlin 336 in 35 Remington. (Manufactured 1971) I had been trying to find one at a reasonable price for some time, and there it was. I'll post some pics...

This listing is for a used Marlin 336 .30.30 Winchester. I'm not the first owner, but I took it to the range a few times, and it shoots great. I have a few levers and don't need this one and could use the money. No trades, need the cash. Meets at a FFL in or near Portland.
