All I wanted was a 'different' muzzle brake. Guess the one I have will have to do. If this isn't the epitome of stupid $hit I don't know what is. Perhaps a better example is electing or re-electing the a$$hat legislators that caused the problem(s)!
I'm certain by being unable to swap out brakes has made the state much much safer... (sarcasm)

Dan

Good Morning,
We hope this email finds you well.

We're writing to inform you that we're unable to fulfill your recent order as it contains an item or items that have recently been banned in the state of Washington. I've closed your order and returned the authorization.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Muzzle brakes are contraband in Washington!

I'll have to go into my parts bin.

Black markets!

I bought all this in WA the other day. It's "Fishing gear" hahahah

Sounds like you need a PO Box or a friend in Oregon. Depending on how close to the border you are.

Wtf, muzzle brakes are banned in the new law? A part that simply aids in recoil reduction?! I knew of the firearm and mag restrictions but JFC, non primary accessory components that can be mounted to previously owned firearms are banned?!
That makes no sense. Then again, nothing passed by the loons running the left coast makes sense.

I'm sorry brother. I hope you "find" one that you "tucked away".. or maybe even a brand new one that you loaned one of us here on NWFA that we never used and left in packaging that we are simply returning to you. ;)

" parts kits, parts or any combination of parts that readily converts "blah blah blah... is in fact in there.

Yabbut: Surely the new law re. AWB doesn't include muzzle brakes for non-assault rifles. Or do they assume any muzzle brake could be used on an assault rifle?

Gah, that sucks so much. I had no idea.
I thought the wording was more components to build 80% type firearms.
Nope it's a lot worse than that for WA's bill vs the Oregon bill. Edit it goes so far as to specifically include the CA Shark fin grip thing, as well as thumbhole stocks, as a scary feature that makes the semiautomatic rifle an Assault Weapon, if the semiautomatic centerfire rifled can accept a detachable magazine, or even if it has a fixed magazine that "has the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds" (sounds like the SKS don't it..?)
