FYI, all striker fired pistols, that I know of, have the striker only pulled slightly back when the action cycles (pre-staged). There is also a striker safety. However, even if the striker safety malfunctions, the striker spring isn't pulled back far enough to set off the primer. It takes a trigger pull to have the striker go back far enough to ignite the round.

Sooooo, knowing all this, don't put the danged thing in a purse, a pocket, or a backpack, where the trigger can be depressed w/o having the handgun in a secure holster that covers the trigger/guard... just sayin.
