The rise in mass killings seems to be more prevalent but suicide is certainly nothing new. I think the children... and adults, that commit mass murders then commit suicide are doing it because the media made them realize they can go out with the notoriety they never had....

Too many parents are more concerned if their children "like" them, and all too often the children wind up running the adults.

Too many parents surrender their parenting responsibities to the boob-tube, the internet, the streets, and the schools.

Addictive issues like P0rn0graphy (sexuality in all degrees) is readily available, violence is glorified, depravity is exulted in broadband glory... everywhere.

The quest for easy money, no sense of personal pride and responsibility for ones own actions, a sense of entitlement being perpetrated upon the youth.

What you continually feed your mind you will ultimately manifest, but in the end it is still a conscious choice to act... you will still be judged and held accountable.

Children instinctively imitate the examples that are consistently set before them.

if anyone thinks the "modern age" is more violent....pray tell; when is the last time we've had a Drawing and a Quartering in the sense of the word, in Western Civilization? (the Middle Eastern and Africa and several parts of West Asia are still doing quite violent acts).....or public executions in the town squares in the US/Canada/white Europe?

Anyone calling me racist is pretty accurate...I myself am a mixed blood mutt.... But I will say this for a fact; even though I myself believe in God, and Jesus; I see corruption in organizations and the use of Religion as an excuse/command to do violence and restrict education..look at the Sharia laws in the Middle East, the Wahabbism in many places, the extremists who do not wish to allow people to be educated, but rather, engage in depraved violence in the name of Religion... whether it be Christian or Islamic....or whatever organization supports the extermination of peoples...

This is the main cause for the apparent fact that the society of Middle East has not developed much outside Israel for the last two millenniums, sure technology and scientific things, but the basic SOCIETY hasn't developed much IMO...compared to the Western Civilization....and I am seeing that while many people disagree on the causes of violence in people; it is basically a part of human nature.. I agree that it is as much taught as it is shown, and it is not solely because of the absence of parents, but also by peer pressure or bullying, or the desire for attention. a former schoolmate of mine has declared, and she seriously believed this, up until she ended up a battered ex wife; that "bad attention is still attention, I want it, even if it is bad for me" (granted, she's had neglectful parents and a terrible home life, with NO support from friends)

Not really Why Children are Killing Children in Modern Society, but I believe it still goes hand in hand with the degradation of the family values and the promotion of the socialist state values being imposed on our children. <broken link removed>
