...By the way, had the guy been my friend and showed it to me, I would have advised him to get rid of it immediately, as NFA stuff is serious business and I don't want ANYTHING to do with that kind of trouble, but unless he was some kind of danger I wouldn't have dutifully run down and turned him in. I agree. I'm reminded of one time I was camping in the Coastal mountains above Alcea Oregon, and a game warden came upon my camp. When he found out I had camped there for some weeks, not that far from a logging road, he started asking questions designed to recruit me to report on poachers. Told me there was this anonymous number I could call, etc. My response? "I think one of the most valuable characteristics a person can have is the ability to mind his or her own business."
