I lived through that for ten years. Lots of bull. You have to study the laws there and not approach ownership casually or based on common sense. If not for me warning AR owners I knew that their bullet button ARs needed to be registered before July 1, 2018, they would have assumed that the DROS registration from the 2016 purchase was sufficient for all purposes, and they would be in felony possession today. And there are FFLs in California who don't know the law and lead people astray despite the best of intentions. California also has enacted laws with vague boundaries, so nobody really knows what they mean until someone gets hemmed up and a test case reaches the court of appeals three years later.

The one law that I was not aware until a few years back, you can carry with a Cal CC, which is hard to get, but the gun can't be loaded. I got that info from a FFL in Nor Call not sure it still applies.

Lol what it's like to be a gun owner in California.
Mm... We don't have long before we are just like them.
Sitting around wondering what happened .

I'm curious, and would like to see unbiased data, if there are less firearm related crimes in Cal after all these absurd laws. Of course, gun-grabbers would consider even 1 less on average per year a win.

I would say its the other way around. more gun laws, more offenses to charge a person with, more criminals, more "tough on crime posturing"

Agreed. Turning law-abiding, good citizens into felons. Makes for easy "revenue" for the socialists. I mean an increase in gun related murders, attempted murders, shootings, etc.

I have a friend who told me a story of his brother, both live in CA. He had a bunch of ARs and AKs from long ago. They went shooting got stopped.
And the LEOs took all his rifles. Can't remember it was 6 or 7 rifles they confiscated. And left him with a hefty fine.

I've never been to Cali. Never will I go.
It's coming to OR and WA fast.
I may have to move
