I'm drinking a German import, Bitburger. Pretty good.

I worked in (and met my wife of 29 years) German restaurants in the 1980's. Was a Busbot, Server, and Bartender. Drank LOTS of Bitburger, Spaten, and many other German imports back then.

Enjoyed some Vivacity Brandy tonight, got an odd although not unpleasant salt / brine note similar to what I get in island/ islay scotches which is interesting because Vivacity is in Corvallis not on the coast..

I hope very much for the day I experience the joy of seeing grandchildren. Parenthetically, one of my nieces had a child last month; it was the first time I was a great-uncle, and I found this a blessing, even if it was a reminder of the aging process.

This little one is our first. My wife of 30 years and I have 4 daughters and raising them was a blast, but grandkids for some reason is even better.
