About 2 years ago I installed a transfer switch so I could use a generator during our usual power outages.

Neighbor popped over the fence and asked what I was doing, I told him "making sure we never have a power outage again, your welcome" and yup, 2 seasons in now, haven't needed the generator.

A couple days ago we had 70mph gusts, power still didn't go out🤬

Only time I have had non repairable tire damage was the time I didn't pay for the non repairable tire damage warranty at the tire store, and that year I had to replace 3 tires!! :mad: :mad: :mad:

I "thought" about the switch a couple times. Never lost power so kind of back burner. Then last week lost power but only due to some moron driver. As I was stringing cords all over the house I suddenly was thinking hard on that switch. :s0140:
 
It could get windy again, if everything is just right.


It will probably hit us when the rib roast is about 1/2 cooked! Would start it earlier, but the kids can't make it til 6 pm. Then, who's to say the microwave will work when we need it?
