Doing the Gin & Tonic thing; no surprises there. A conversation this evening with my better half reminded me of one our favorite films (and indeed the first one we ever watched together at the tender age of 15), Casablanca. A cinematic masterpiece, of course, but also quite boozy. For the fellow hooch hounds: A list of all the booze in Casablanca (surprisingly long!).

Stuck in a motel in Oregon for the night so trying some local flavor. It is very tasty finished in barrels made of Gary oak which only grows in the PNW. It is called a bourbon but it has a subtle fruit like finish reminiscent of Jamison irish whiskey. Cheers
