In a nut shell after reviewing the latest diatribe from the comrade AG.
You will find that what they have done is make all semi auto firearms class III.

So in fact the state is trying to alter the 1936 firearm act, and nullify the difference between semi-auto, and select fire, and automatic. Thier bill lists all 3 as the same. BY NAME.

The sorry part is that the AG thinks its constitutional.

Listen to him say over and over: There is going ot be more mass shooting in Washington"
What he does not say is that he and the state are causing that uprising.

When he bans my Father's Garand, its time to put a foot down. It has sat in the safe for 75 years.
Now its a machine gun.....

Ever drive around suburbs near 6th Street in Tacoma? It's like a ancient road before grading and leveling or maintenance was invented. I don't know HOW those people can put up with it. Having sat in my share of highways turned into parking lots, I'm fully convinced the wisdom of the legislature and leadership purposefully frustrates drivers as a goal to reduce driving; punishment to car owners if you will. It's by design to reduce "carbon footprint" nonsense. Poorly designed, poorly maintained roads.

In fairness, about the ONLY thing I can get behind is a reduction of plastic single use waste. Plastic bags, straws, sytrofoam plates, etc. all goes right into our water ways and oceans or dumps and does actual tangible harm to humans and animals and marine life. I FULLY support the reduction and ultimate elimination of these single-use products. It's not too hard to plan ahead and bring reusable cotton bags, that you wash with your normal load of laundry from time to time. I digress.
It's my experience that the amount of taxes collected is inversely proportional to services provided. H2 on Oahu is the worst freeway I've ever driven on.

I believe they ARE in fact nefariously trying to incite a violent uprising, and are fully ready to use that as Exhibit A as the reason to ban guns. An unsuccessful violent uprising will be a failure on many fronts and used in every way possible to justify the ban on all guns. They'll push and push until gun owners respond, and then play victim. They have perfected it in every walk of life from race relations, immigration, sex crime accusations, domestic violence, divorce matters, and of course guns. They've learned from terrorists, which have no rule book and attack everyone viciously with impunity, but cry the loudest when struck back. Same thing.

These anti-gunners WANT to provoke an escalation to a shooting war, and the media will aid them in demonizing those "crazy gun owners; see, they can't be trusted with guns like we told you.":s0054::s0054::s0054:

I sympathize, and think about it myself. But eventually you have to stand your ground and fight. I figure it's coming at some point, so stock up and be ready. Facts don't seem to matter to the left, nor does the right for people to defend themselves against the ever growing state machine. Liberty has always come with some price to pay. I would like to see pro-firearms groups like the NRA and GOA, 2AF get as creative for the case for rights and the left is creative against it.

This thread is really demoralizing.
I think it is doing more harm than good for Wa. Gun owners. Its certainly bringing me down.

I am in that "low place" as well, but being born and raised here...it's hard to deny the reality when you see it every day.

I used to ride along with my brother, while he was still on duty with the SFPD in the eighties.

I remember asking him "How can you stand working down here in this Hell Hole ?"
He smiled and said "Just wait, it's coming up there sooner than you think".

Here's how I look at it. You're on the Titanic and it's just hit an iceberg. Are you going to stick around, bail water, wait for some rescue you know isn't arriving in time? Plead with the ocean to not devour the ship? Or are you going to get in line to be on that life raft?

Another question. Who do you want as the prosecutor or your jury pool if you have to use your gun and face a potential prosecution and end up before a Jury? You want a prosecutor from Olympia? A jury from King County? Or somewhere in a free state where people respect the right of self defense?

Another question. Where do you want long term roots, to make friends, meet people, raise a family, have kids go to school and learn and be educated? Maybe moot for some settled folks but for me it was very relevant.

After years of wishing, I finally pulled the trigger on a move OP and I'm telling you the stress relief and breath of fresh air is life changing in a positive way. It was a hard, expensive and time consuming move but I abandoned that sinking ship called Washington and every day I wake up with a smile...

I lived there for 8 years and heard all the tough talk about taking the state back, fighting, etc. I protested, I rallied, I handed our fliers, put up yard signs, went door to door, voted, was fairly active. Apparently 25% of Washington voters love anti-gun policies and socialism, and another 50% of Washington voters are too stupid to know or too lazy to care.

Now, in a FREE state, I can buy and carry guns without anyones' permission! And I've been buying guns like a free man, carrying a gun like a free man, and just enjoying the happy people in this state.

In addition to the 2A nonsense in WA, there were other factors. The state is an disgrace and I was embarrassed to admit living there under that corrupt dishonest leadership. The apathetic voter pool and the "Seattle Freeze" attitude was too much to bear. Seemed most people were rude or lefists. The difference here is night and day. Folks are nice and friendly, people seem happier, etc.

Anyway, I agreed with your assessment and I did exactly what you're discussing in fleeing the sinking ship.

This is it right on leadcounsel. Since WA state has gone all dem the legislature, the AG and governor are revving up the commie anti gun machine. The gun owners could not stop California from going full commie anti gun. Sorry for you all that are stuck here and can't flee this sinking ship. Of course MI where I am going is not much better and the scales could tilt and the same thing could happen in MI. I hope not.

Soon wa will even go so far as to make it necessary to go though a BG chk just to buy bullets just like cali. They are going to stomp there dem commie gov jackboots down hard on our backs and not let up.

Our best possible solution to this is for Trump to be re-elected, Ginsberg [:s0087:] to croak and Trump to put in another conservative supreme court judge. After that happens we should be able to get some or all of the anti gun legislation reversed but it will take years and years in the courts.

To all of you who read this thread and complain it is a downer and you are getting bummed, well, you should be. Our 2A future in this state is bleak.:(

It gets to the point to were sometimes I wonder if a law was past I don't know about and I'm unknowing violating it. It's not as if they are upfront and open about the hidden changes they bury in the bills that they advertise as back ground checks ect. They don't have detailed writeups in the news paper of the change in laws or notify anyone until your in deep bubblegum. They hate freedom minded independent people ,rural folks, and gun owners.

Reality is demoralizing sometimes. Maybe folks in WA need a real wakeup call.
I can stop voting, emailing, writing, donating, etc. and just give up. If that would be more beneficial to wa. gun owners. Regardless of what the odds may be, a lot of good people will be living in wa for a long time to come. Not everyone has the means to pack up and leave, nor does everyone want to. People feeling hopeless and not doing anything is a big part of the problem here. listening to how it's hopeless and everyone is just going to leave doesnt help encourage anyone to continue the fight.

I will say this, I am almost as angry with the lack of action and motivation from gun owners as I am with the people making the laws.

Gun owners should be encouraging everyone to fight, no matter where they live, no matter the odds.

It's not the thread that is depressing. It's the current tyranny from the top, in state government. It's the same in Oregon.
Doesn't seem that long ago when the northwest was home to a multitude of Vietnam vets. No politician would dare try this abuse of civil and constitutional rights as is coming at us today. Did all these guys die off? Or did they all take sharp left turns?

Gun owners should be encouraging everyone to
Here's some motivation. If WA gun owners fail to draw a line, unite, and defeat these socialists now. This term, then you all are facing being disarmed. Or felons. Or a bloodbath is in the future... I didn't like any of those very plausible outcomes.

WA doesn't have the same genepool or history as Virginia. I'm curious to see how Virginians respond. They were also asleep at the wheel and now things may get ugly.

Maybe consider a mass migration to tip the Balance in Oregon and rid it of its cancer.

I would not rely on big steps when 50% cannot take 30 minutes to nearly effortlessly fill out and return a ballot for free.

These are the people in your community. Who you will rely on. They work there. They are your jury pool.

No thanks.

I dont disagree. This is the end of the line. We fight now or the 2a in wa. is dead (hopefully your state isn't next). For those of us working hard to stop these laws from being passed, its time to put it in overdrive. For those on the fence about taking action, this is most likely your last chance.

This is the time to encourage and motivate, not get all doom and gloom, everything is hopeless.

Thats not what I find most depressing, its all the gun owners who refuse to take any action or have given up. Its like playing for a sports team where 3/4 of the players go home or lay down on feild because there 10 pionts behind.

I dont believe that we cant beat these laws, If gun owners would put in the work. The 1639 defense fund has raised $115k in about a year. There are 600k cpl holders in wa. Obviously they didnt all even donate $1. There where over one milion no votes for 1639. If EVERYONE that cared donated $20 we could have millions of $ to fight these laws. Thats one example.

Either way, this thread brings me down, so Im out.
