I never bought a bump fire stock. I thought about it YEARS ago but they were meh to me. I'm thinking to myself now that they are banned, if I owned one I'd have to destroy it or I'd be committing a felony. Ridiculous....

I started doing recon for relocation after the private transfer law was passed. Here I am almost 5 years later having made 5 trips to 3 states and narrowed it down to 2. (Las Vegas NV and Tampa FL).

I've made it my goal this year to relocate.

Before anyone says, "But I have a house and a job here, stay and fight" and all the usual nonsense...yes I have a job and a house here, in fact I have two full time IT Manager jobs here and multiple rental properties. I'll keep the properties here but move elsewhere and only visit here to check on the houses. This assault on freedom is ridiculous. I can't take it anymore. And we've already lost this battle here. AWB, high capacity magazines, background checks for ammo purchases are next.

Everyday I have to research and wonder if I'm in danger of going to prison just for possessing something.....

The title of the thread isn't wrong, but as far as bump stocks go, you'd be in the same boat in Idaho or anywhere else. Fed law, as wrongly as it was implemented.

I feel the same. Wife insists on being at least an hour from a major city and the ocean though.
I'm fed up though. Our rights have been completely trashed and infringed. Voting can't work in a corrupt and bought system. So I don't know what to do. All these rallies and marches are a joke to me. If you're not showing up i force and taking back our rights by force, then you are wasting your time. They don't care anymore. They are getting paid to take away our rights. Why wouldnt they? Until we fight, we have to run. And that is pissing me off.

We have one kid in ID and it is tempting. Of course the real problem will just follow gun owners. The same people who vote for bigger Gov. soon make their home a mess. So those with means move to where the voters kept Gov. small and things are better. So of course when they move the people who made the mess start to vote in the same things that ruined the old place. Too many people are just too comfortable to be bothered to fight. Unless that changes it just keeps getting worse everywhere.:mad:

I would except I have two kids and the ex is just itching to take full custody to be primary, I got 10 more years unfortunately I already tried to convince her to move.

I will be moving to MT in a few months, so yeah. Besides being stationed with USAEUR in Germany, I spent my whole life living in western WA. It's a whole lot different in the last decade or two. Hunting and fishing regulations and opportunities have gotten bad, too.

I was going to say, pretty much any state with major cities is turning blue.

I won't live my life on the run, might as well spend my money on stocking up on guns and ammo.

Sooner or later people will have enough.

This last few years of the liberal circus is causing some changing of the tides.

Las Vegas :D. You'll get there just in time for the Raiders.:D:D:D

Raiders...who are they?...Hmmmmm...Oh yeah, aren't they "Goin' to Memphis?"

I've thought about moving after I retire, that said I live in a small town with folks that think a lot like I do, so I don't feel the need to move right away. Now if I lived in a big city, I'd do my utmost to move to a small town, just 40 miles outside of Seattle it's like another world.

Damn if you don't have that right on the money. When I see what has happened to places in Seattle I lived as a kid? It is jaw dropping amazing that voters their have allowed this. My parents were both so left they were almost socialist. Yet both of them would be appalled to see what that city has become. Even when I was a kid I started to see "something was wrong". They would vote for people who did things that just set them both off with angry rants, then voted for then again. I have to guess this is why the city that was such a gem is now racing to become like San Fran. Shocking what has happened to so many "working class" places up there. :(:(

The bigger issue in your thread post for me is the "make them criminals" part.

No matter what State we are in, government leaders are creating a situation where by their own examples rules and laws are seen as "elastic" and optional to follow. The problem is that when being made defacto criminals by the government, the local citizenry will soon say "screw it. I am not going to follow any of your laws." That is the path to serious disfunction and anarchy - both hidden and overt. :s0125:

I am here to stay.
As for gun laws....laws only work if one wishes to obey them....
'Course one also has to be willing to accept the consequences of not abiding by the law.
I know where I stand on certain laws...as well as understanding what my actions may do.

Did you consider Texas? If so, why was it narrowed out?
