This is flat out sidition, and this Gov'ner needs to be removed from office and put on trial! Think about it, he is suspending several constitutnal rights here, including the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and more!
There needs to be an accounting of this, and I think it best to not go into the capital complex and protest unless your willing to risk your life to do so!
There are other ways we can fight, the first is to not be where they think we will be! The second is to remove those who would suppress our rights, and use the legal system to do it!
Third, demand the Sheriff's act with in the full authority of their office!

So... no one (except the police) is supposed to be carrying a firearm at the event. If I lived nearby, drove there, found parking, and walked in, I would have to leave my firearm in my car. Not good.

Then, unarmed, I would be walking into a fenced-in area. Not good.

I don't see an up-side to that scenario. Even a very large turnout of pro-2A folks isn't likely to change the governor's mind.

If someone starts shooting from a rooftop down into a crowd of Deplorables, or sets off an IED, then what? Why is that fence being put up?

The fence is likely there to funnel attendees through check points to make sure no weapons get through.

2. Be Smart; here again, believe the smart thing to do would be to utilize the pro 2A sheriff departments' support, maybe even request an escort by them for the buses to different locations than those selected by the State Police?

3. Be There; ehhhh... in the history of warfare be it political, physical, social, or militarily, when has walking into an ambush worked without outside support?
Maybe what should be done is to send a small group of smartly dressed people who are great speechmakers/motivational speakers, while having the rest being outside the areas with 2A sheriffs help, blockading traffic into Richmond

Here are some alternatives I have come across :

No way would I suggest anyone go inside that cattle pen they are setting up.

It's a KILL BOX, and though we still need a 100,000 people there to show them WHO IS BOSS, they CAN NOT BE ALLOWED to have things all their way, and the patriots all playing in their sand box.

Rally at the entry points to the capitol grounds, ARMED (as long as the Governor's order has truly been declared unenforceable--and I still think that needs clarified, btw,) but outside of whatever "zone" the bogus order supposedly covers.

DO EVERYTHING THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT THEY ARE PLANNING FOR. (If they want war, that will apply even moreso after, than now!)

Rally near the capitol park area, but DO NOT ENTER IT. Instead choose another open area (park by the river?) and move the rally there. Rally where there are no high sniper points close enough for their paid THUGS to cause havoc in your midst.

MAKE SURE PATRIOT MINORITIES are front and center, and ask them to mix so that the MSM can not get the "whites only" shots they'll be craving for obvious propaganda purposes.

RECORD EVERYTHING and immediately surround, shame, and/or physically restrain any obvious agent provocateurs who are trying to instigate violence. UPLOAD AND STREAM AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

BE CONSTANTLY AWARE OF WHAT IS GOING ON AROUND YOU. Only fire back if fired upon by ORGANIZED, CLEARLY IDENTIFIABLE AND OBVIOUS RANKS OF TRAITORS. Do not respond to random single shots other than to gang tackle any identified culprit(s).

Elect spokespersons (a handful) and NO ONE ELSE IS TO TALK TO THE MEDIA, PERIOD!
I think that the rally should happen, but not at this location.

A last minute change of venue to a location where the patriots have fall back positions and embedded their own backup should allow the patriots to thwart much of the embedded anti2a at the Capitol. Maybe somebodies farm as nearby as possible (Especially since it is a Holiday and the legislators will not be there.)

a new rally point and a possible blockade of Richmond is the way to go. If a new rally point is chosen, it'd better be easy to get to and right at the very last minute.

How many years will that take?
What happens to guns confiscated in the interim? How will gun owner's be made whole? What about the range owners who are shut down by these laws? What will they do for the 5 or so years it may take for these cases to go through? Unless the courts throw these laws out immediately AND with prejudice, millions will be damaged by them. Any delay is unacceptable.
Truly, justice delayed is justice denied.
