Authorities gonna authority. The government does not like the word, no, coming out of your dirty civilian mouth. Too many examples of government agencies, just following orders. Especially if they can get overtime.

The only upside are examples of how much man power the government exhausts when dealing with, no people. Chris Dorner. The Bundy Ranch, Waco are just a few. I can't see this being approved nationwide but there's AR blood on the west coast. Other states would probably not poke the bear if it only happened here and NY.

Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum.

I have taken the oath for this country 3 separate times throughout my life. Never once did I notice an expiration date. I do not wish for or seek a conflict, but if conflict/violence is needed then so be it. We have 3 children ages 14-20. I fear, that even though I may not live to see an open revolution, that they will. All we can do is lead by example, teach them to think for themselves and to be aware.

There is NO way the govt. is ever gonna disarm Americans! We all need to realize this and act accordingly. There's just too many of us and most of the police and military just ain't gonna turn on us, for two reasons; 1) There's too damned many of us! 2) They just aren't gonna forget their oath.

In reality it's not the structured government, as it stands, that worries me. It is those that wish to change our form of government through progressivism, socialism et al. I sincerely believe that their efforts, and those of their supporters in the streets, will drive this country to a precipice from which we will not recover. By that time, those currently in the employ of .gov will branch into one of two groups. Those that remember their oath and those that want "change".
I pray we can alter our path before then.....but will prepare in case we fail.

@Sawdust, that's a large part of my concern as well, especially since the dems never met an election they couldn't fix. At this point they're just Commies Mk II and don't even pretend to care about America or Americans.

That said, I don't think the G necessarily has our best interests at heart either.

Unintended consequences and all that.

If everyone did their civic duty and voted, maybe all this oath following would be a moot point. Because what I see and hear is:

"We didn't pry our azzes from the couch to vote or spread our message meaningfully using the modern means available, but its gonna be YOUR fault if my indifference/incompetenceknn results in the election of hostile politicians and the approval of asinine laws that put a big chunk of the peril and liability on YOU, the final instrument of policy".

I'm sorry, but by the time it comes down to me or anyone else deciding on whether to abide by our oath, which varies depending who you ask and their interpretation of what the constitution means, the failure has already occurred.

Well said. If you didn't get off your couch-potato arse and vote AGAINST this, you tacitly voted FOR it!

I wish I could like this 1000 times!
Nailed it!
If you sit it out, or cast your vote 3rd party, or don't take it serious enough to make it THE SINGLE ISSUE, then you voted FOR all of it!
And when you point your finger at all of us single issue voters, your really pointing 5 fingers at your self, and have only YOU to blame!

I agree wholeheartedly on your voting point...but....What is YOUR take on how many would follow illegal orders?

This is what I believe, people seem to forgot the people that were shot at Kent state. Those were our people shot by our people. Orders is orders.

Or look at what happened to the Bonus Army. Or look at the Milgram experiments. People follow orders. Nurenburg changed nothing.

Anyway, I read the article and in some ways I wonder if it is helpful. It was openly hostile and the reaction many have to such hostility, is to get their back up and push back.

The bigger the city, the younger the force, the more likely. Most Sheriffs will lean to the right. Appointed chiefs will lean with the mayor and city council. You want to choose where you live wisely.

I think the most common stance that many LE will take is to purposely screw things up. Turn it into a money pit of mistakes and union grievances for safety issues, etc. The gears will grind to a hault before things get too ugly.

My question is whether a gun grab results into something bigger, which will result in some form of organization. The Sheriffs have the power to revoke an agency's right to enforce the laws within their county. Thats where it gets interesting.

And that dove tails into the linked Video I posted earlier!
When do LEO cease being a service to the people and become Agents of the State!
As we all know, Agents of the State ain't a good thing, little more then a Goon Squad with badges and guns acting under the influence of those in power, and NOT serving the people! Going down that path removes their legal status and makes them fair game to what ever!
