Still nothing with the router. PM'd a couple of days ago from the home computer with no response yet. Going to have to tell the husband that he won't be on tomorrow because I have other internet stuff (Christmas sneakin' around stuff) that I have to do on my tablet. I don't have access to the home computer that much, so it's really disappointing that I can't view the site.
My best to all of you peeps that can still view/post, and if I have no access prior to the holiday, may you enjoy yourselves and your family.
Be safe,
Wifey

Wifey said I needed to plug the router back in so she could access some sites other than NWFA, low and behold things work for us now through the router. Don't know if the powers did something, or, if it will stay with us now?

I think the problem is on your end or your ISP. If it's a DNS issue you can use a different DNS server.
You could try Google's public DNS servers, 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

I'm having issues again, can't get connected from home. This time it looks like a DNS/firewall issue. Same IP as before. 216.117.212.113

I cant access site either. Happened earlier this week too. This is the only site that i cant access. Comcast said earlier in week it was a certificate issue with site and our security router was blocking access. Am bypassing router now and still cant acess. This sucks.

I have Comcast but no connection issues but not many people have their house setup like I do mine.

I'm a software engineer by trade. Let me know I can help.

I just tried connecting through ninjaproxy and was able to connect to this site. But that is the only way I can get through. My comcast internet (wired or wirelss) still won't let me get through. Any ideas on what is going on and how to correct it?

If you can get to it from a proxy it's probably not your computer. I'm assuming it's windows. You could try opening a command promptand flushing the DNS. The command, ipconfig /flushdns, will flush out any cached records.

One way to determine if it's a DNS issue is to browse to the site by IP address. The IP address of this website is 69.167.176.141.
Open a web browser and just put that IP address in. It should take you to the front page.

If you're using a firewall or router it could be a problem there with the setup.

Too bad we're ALL not "Software Engineers", I have no idea what the hell you're talking about! It's as bad as having my brother THE "Electronics Engineer" trying to explain HIS work. But thanks for being there just the same.

I had connection problems too. At my home Comcast server I could get any web site but NW Firearms(on a laptop and desk top). Took my lap top to a different location and
NW Firearms works? I called comcast and they were very nice came out the next morning. The Technician and his supervisor had never seen any thing like this.
They replaced my modem and everything has been working fine for the last month or so.

If you're having problems send me a PM. I'd be happy to help you sort it out.

I'm not having any problems now.

There was a period of time that I could NOT get NWFA on my PC when pluged into the router, and Wifey coudn't get NWFA on her tablet through the router. She could get any other sites, as could I, using the router. I could only get NWFA if I bypased the router and pluged directly into the Comcast modem. As if by magic, one day I hooked it up throgh the router and VOILA! And we're surfing happily ever after.

I'll PM you, but am posting the latest here too:

Comcast tech support couldn't help. Their "Signature Service" couldn't solve it either. (Am not paying for THAT service). The tech came out and replaced our older router/modem system with a new gateway unit. Our old system ran to the security router first, then to the internet router. He said it looked like the security router was blocking me from accessing this site.

So, with the new system the cable comes into the house, splits, with one cable running to the internet gateway unit and a different cable running to the security system. I was able to access this site for 2 days. Now I can't access the site again. I can only access it through a proxy server. I tried my laptop at another house that uses the same gateway unit as we have. No connectivity problems accessing the site.

DNS was flushed. No luck. Tried 69.167.176.141 - no luck. Tried pinging (or whatever it is called) 69.167.176.141 - 4 packets sent, 0 received.

So that is where things stand. Comast has no idea why it is happening. But they will be happy to charge another service call to come out and fix it. I don't think so!

After almost 3 weeks of not being able to get to this site (without going through a proxy) from our home connection I can finally acess it (for now?). Have no idea why but I know it wasn't a computer issue since the same computer could access from a different location.

I know how to fix it, it took me a week to do it. All the same things happening. It has to do with Adobe Wave. First thought after researching and countless attempts at everthing that it was Adobe Flash. IF you have both, erase, or uninstall Adobe Wave player....You dont need it unless your watching porn online. And if you only have Adobe Flash, you need to go to settings in Adobe Flash and clear the specifics of its saved data on web pages. You can select northwestfirearms.com or delete them all. Hope you are able to get back on, and heads up admins, this was really tricky and sucked. Maybe you can look into this

I could connect from other places with same laptop, also had comcast try to fix it and they said I needed a new modem/router combo, even though this was the only site that did not work. It all seemed to happen around the time the site went down, and i thought the site was still down during that time. Its not a matter of ip address neither, been there done that, even did a total switch on my modem/router combo. Try this what I posted one post earlier. It works, I looked after I fixed it on this site if there were any post similar to mine, but did not see this thread way at the bottom.

I have this same problem, connection times out when trying to connect on home network (I use Charter), it was working fine yesterday morning then during the day it stopped. Right now I am using a proxy service I have, it seems to be an issue with all of our home computers. I am assuming it is an issue on Charters end but not really sure what to do, never had this problem before with any other site. Might try seeing if there are different DNS servers I can use through Charter?
