Shouldn't the judge know about the slow-roll of background checks in his decision on the 3 day rule?

Seems like come FFL's could provide affidavits of how slow things are moving, thus the 3 day rule should remain in place to hold the regime accountable for actually processing them timely.
I would certainly agree with that. Wholeheartedly! The are required to complete BGC's within 3 days. That was the deal when the law was put in place. Just because they choose to not expand their ability to comply, and systemically delay BGC's, certainly doesn't give them the authority to infringe on the rights of law abiding citizens.

No matter how many times they keep trying to convice us that they do. The burden is on them to comply... not for us to sit around waiting until they feel like getting around to it.

I sure he is aware of it but time and place to make comments when your a judge. There is soo much to cover and since that was not on today's subject he wasn't going to start down that road.

why do you say that? specific comments made by the judge that give you that impression?
For one, the dude lives in Burns Oregon. I'm pretty sure it's a law that you have to own more than one gun in that town.

Until the state SC intervenes.
Yep, it's really simple:

State lawsuit

1) conservative Harney Co. judge = stay/injunction

2) Then it gets to liberal state Supreme Court = overturned

Federal lawsuits

1) liberal federal judge blatantly ignores Supreme Court precedents = m114 upheld

2) Then it gets to Scotus (conservative majority) = overturned

Yep far from over. Find a ffl doing 3day and order any extra mags you want now.

Before I get called out... I sent the same status and dates to Washington Gun Law that I posted here earlier (copy and pasted... identical), but looks like in his haste to get his YT video out he might have misread the judges decision date for the mag ban issue. That... he named me as his source.

It's also possible that a date change was made that he is aware of that occured after the hearing ended... that I haven't heard about.

I'm not 100% which, but as far as I heard from the judge during the hearing... the mag ban decision still drops on Friday night... not January 3rd. That date is the 3 day loophole decision date... as far as I'm aware.

Not my fault. 🤣

I listened to the hearing as well and interpreted things the same way as you.

their expert literally said one could "glue" a baseplate on to render a magazine unconvertible back to over 10 rounds.

my first thought was with what? elmers (fudd) glue?

Did they agree on the definition of "Permanately altered"?
Surely you jest! 🤣

But seriously, I believe that after you boil down the states BS and rinse it off (glue, screw, rivet, limiter insert, etc.), the witnesses (ours AND theirs) made it clear that whatever method the average person could do to render a mag unable to accept more than 10rds, the average person would also be able to undo and convert it back to more than 10.

It was acknowedged there there are a few isolated mags that would not be capable of being convertered, but that the largely vast majority... or "common use" mags owned by 100's of millions of Americans... are easily and readily convertable to hold more than 10.
