I recently moved to Oregon during the move I realized that two of my AR-15s had started to get some rust sitting in the safe I want to replace all of the parts in the lowers problem is I have not gotten an Oregon ID yet can anyone tell me if they make you show ID to get the parts kits for the lower because currently I still have a Washington ID

You can (so far) buy them online. So no, a store is not going to care.

Okay I didn't want to waste my time going around to stores if they were going to show me ID I thought being that close to the border they might

You can just order the parts kits online and have them shipped to your house. No need for any FFL or showing an ID. Just has to be legal in the state you are residing in (in this case completely legal here in Oregon)

Now if you want to get a new lower, you will need an Oregon ID.

I would call Shooter's Service Center in St. John's. Talk with Don or Nicole and see if they have them.

If not I would just order through PSA.

I second this! PSA gets the job done.

I also enjoy Oregon Rifle Works. They have a huge selection of low quality to very high quality parts, kits, of all varieties and flavors.

Don;t forget to stock up on standard mags before you are restricted to 10 rounds. I would prioritize those over parts right now. Also the NWFA classifieds are a great source for parts due to epidemic levels of upgraditus going around.

There isn't a gun store in Portland worth visiting.

Curts in Milwaukee is acceptable if you're looking for low tier parts. A lot of poverty pony/aero stuff on their shelves.

If what you're looking for can be sold in WA then Sporting Systems is a great shop and I think everyone should be supporting Daniel, as he has done more for 2A rights in WA than just about anyone else. I don't think he gets enough credit for the effort he has put in.

In Oregon, best bet for parts is Oregon Rifleworks.

Online is always an option, but if you want to continue to have a local gun store to go to, then you should buy everything you can through the shop of your choice.

Thank you for the kind words, appreciate it. You get the big picture of the impact of gun laws on the citizens, it's bad long term. Washington will be a ghost state in 2027, true guns shops will be unable to exist after the permit to purchase goes into effect.
