wow! amazing story, and amazing restoration. Nice work. From the original pics, I would have thought it was a goner for sure (or at least would need serious, expensive, profession gunsmith work/refinishing). Out-frickin-standing man.

Soooo, did you ever run across the old high school buddy, maybe at a reunion or just on the street??? My guess is he is probably doing time at our expense.

I never did find my "friend" nor do I care to see him. From what I understand, people say he crossed a bunch of other people and he is living with his Father in Canada.

I call the detective about my firearm. He explains it is "beyond hope of repair" and was telling me I was better off allowing them to destroy the firearm.

I would mail the detective the pics of the resurrected revolver and rub his statement in his face.
I'm so happy that you got the gun going again!
