How can anybody with any amount of intelligence believe this? Brainwashed?
Seriously.
That was mostly just referring to middle and last part of your statement. The first part is a joke to anybody that has worked or has had any heavy involvement in that political side. Big time joke!
I can only understand if you are drinking the kool aid and referring to what the sheep believe is possible. Sorry though, it is just a false utopia. It's not going to happen. It never has. Never will. Dream on... Just look at anywhere the left gets their way and sure enough nope it's not true. There will be poor and there will be rich. Period. The disparity is not less with governing from the left of the political spectrum. I'm not going to argue that the right is on any path that is great either, but I sure can't stand to hear such BS about where the left will take us.
Has anybody noticed that we are in a crisis? The current administration is not doing anything about it. If anything the current administration is trying to wipe out the middle class. It seems to me that there is ignorance for jobs and employment to require the people to depend on the government. In a nutshell, that is socialism.
Sorry but we can't sustain the current progression of the government. The growing debt is going to be too much to name just one huge problem. I wonder if this is the kind of progression that progressives strive for. It's not working in a good direction. I don't know how anybody can argue for that. Pretty sick really
Well if you were specific about what I said that you considered a big joke I might be able to respond. The increase in corporate power to effect elections is no joke, that is real and it is heading toward us right now. The rightie media is silent on these issues they want you to love the corps and hate the gov, and that is the cool aid you folks drink. I admit to being brainwashed, I know you folks never admit to being brainwashed (talk about a joke considering what you expose yourself to!), at least I'm that much self aware.
So lets get to the meat of your argument if I can find it, ah yes, rich and poor will always be, yes that's true but if can't see that the rich have set up our current system for their benefit using political power than you really don't get politics at all. Give me an example of where the left gets their way? You folks never seem to do specifics, arguments this vague have no use. The current admin has done lots to keep this country going, and every time I talk to a righte who is positive that the bailouts were a mistake I find they don't know a CDO from a CDS, and are incapable of even evaluating what would have happened without the bailouts. So, anything they have to say about that issue is only indoctrination, a pretty pathetic state of belief that is on nearly every issue, not just this one. Also, the stimulus money did lots of good too, again we don't know what would have happened without it but I wouldn't want to put someone into power willing to take that chance, and I think McCain would have done similar things.
The govs debt will be short lived, yes it is not sustainable. Our economy is in trouble for hundreds of reasons, and the middle class is in danger for hundreds of reasons too, I don't know what specific case you want to make about this current admin hurting the middle class that can compete with what was done during the Bush Admin. One thing to think about though is that the largest investment most middle class people have is the family home, and look what happened to that. The investment banks drove the housing bubble and it was as predictable as gravity. They even came up with clever ways to defeat normal market instincts using the non disclosure rules regarding the CDS, and drove it hard for a few more years so when it went boom it would have taken us back to the financial stone age without government intervention.
Now a rightie will try and make the case the housing crisis was caused by the gov trying to put people into homes who shouldn't have been there, because the gov must always be at fault and never business, they will cite some 2 bit gov program that never regulated or funded much of anthing for this problem. They will ignore or remain unaware of the real causes for this problem and simply blame the gov. In this case, this argument is so bad one wonders if the right is capable fo actually counting. I guess what it boils down to is, if your side can't make a good argument it will simply make a bad argument, whats the difference the faithful will believe us!
