For WA at least, knives are also regulated city by city. So what may be legal at the state level isn't within certain cities.
I have ZERO doubt some city and county's around here will have some kind of rule for these. For me could really care less as I am not the kind who gets stopped and searched or the kind who is going to be waving one around to get attention. I was just happy as a clam that we could again buy them here, and that I was able to find a place selling US made quality knives like this other than Benchmade. I am still VERY disappointed in what Benchmade did since I loved their stuff. Now I have a great source of nice stuff, made in the US by someone else.

The idea of making certain types of knives illegal has always been silly to me. Take two knives, each has a 4 inch blade of identical profile and sharpness. One you have to flick open with your thumb, but the other you just press a button. Ooooh, so scary! Seriously, wtf. That's what we want to spend our time on? Enforcing that arbitrary decision?

The laws on knives have been just like the laws on guns all my life. A huge waste of time, written by people who have no clue what they are talking about. For those who want a little bit of interesting history on this go to Blade HQ and look at the info on auto knives. They talk about how at one time they got so much attention they passed a fed law on them.

I'm not picking on you @Alexx1401 , just using your post as a reference.
The guns that Benchmade cut up for OC Police were never again going to be in the hands of anyone. I don't know why they were chosen to complete the task, and it wasn't Benchmade that made a point out of telling the community, it was the OC Police. Benchmade isn't bragging about killing those firearms.
They make damn fine knives and are a local company that I support.

Maybe you all that have a burr under your saddle should look at the laws and courts that caused this to happen, instead of blaming Benchmade for the end result.
Unlike the "hatred" for ol' Bill Ruger because he didn't think we should have magazines larger than 10 rounders, your argument that Benchmade is going against our rights by doing this are ignorant.
I'm not in the market for another knife, but if I was, Benchmade would remain high on that list.

I won't buy benchmade. They made the choice to create and continue to run a multi-year program to destroy firearms. In this industry there are things you don't do. That's one of them. It's a very graphic stain on their company imo.

Its a too each their own thing. If there was no other place to get quality knives? I would I am sure have ordered some knives from Benchmade. Since there is now other choices, and the management there at Benchmade made the choice to chop up those guns and allow them to video it? They lost me. It does not bother me a bit that others still want to buy their stuff. They make some damn fine blades. I just will not be buying any more of theirs.

Too me this is a "read the room you idiots" thing. They "should" know who their customer base is. As I mentioned before if they were the only choice for quality? I would of course still buy from them. Since there is other choices for real quality? I will use others now.
