As with the DOJ "opinion" on mailing guns with USPS this too will really mean nothing. For the places that do not allow auto knives the courts would end up having to get involved. Long ago when I first discovered the "assisted" open knives I did have to laugh at how that was OK but the auto knives were not. Most laws don't have to make sense though. Not sure when WA decided they no longer cared but when I found out I sure dropped a chunk of change on auto knives.

Arms are arms - i.e., anything that can be used as a weapon is protected by the Second Amendment.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
Certainly how it "should be". Of course we all know everything the Constitution says means only what someone with a black robe tells you it means. :(
