The regional firearms forum I cam from when I moved up here required pictures of the gun for sale if only a factory photo from the manufacturers web site. I personally like it. It seemed to keep idiots from posting one or two sentence ads which contained no actual information about the firearm.

However, being that this lot is more about complete liberty in all areas, I'm sure a new rule about posting ads in the classifieds wouldn't be received well.

I would argue that a person with a firearm for sale is not defacto an idiot if he doesn't post pictures. Certainly his sales results may not have the fuel of others, but it should be a choice. Quite often no picture is actually necessary: as in a new factory gun, still available. Others may experience difficulty posting pictures for various reasons. Two sentences could easily describe a "box-stock Remington 700 ADL Synthetic .270 for $300". Wait. I did it in 9 words. My idiocy in doing so is matched only by someone who needs a picture to know what one looks like. (No, I have no such gun for sale.)

FAR OUT!!

Nice guns! I really, REALLY especially like the Colt Peacekeeper!

But there are no prices??

Is anyone actually clicking on the link? JEEZ!

Guilty as charged. Now that I have corrected my error, and actually followed instructions, I would say this is a more than moderate improvement over the more than occasional models we see on this website where all we can see is the front of a tennis shoe, a knee swathed in sweatpants, or a burly hair-knuckled hand holding the firearm. While I normally subscribe to the technique that what is unseen and left to the imagination is occasionally more attractive than full exposure, I must say this new display does something more for me.
