If you carry a gun the last thing you should be doing is looking for a FIGHT .
Because every fight is a gun fight.
And you brought the gun.
So now your in a fight for your life and other people around you

My way is simple, whether I go to jail is my business, you lay hands on me you just got yourself into a fight for your life.

I really can't tell much from the video.
However , it does appear to me , that all could have avoided if the shooter chose not to address the "parking situation"
There are indeed time to intervene and act....this to me , was not one of those times.

What I do know from my experience in defensive gun use , is that you will be seconded guessed , seven ways from Sunday , by all involved in the aftermath...
You Damn well better have your ducks in a row or you will be up chit creek without a paddle.
You need to have been left with no other options....and be totally in the right , if you want a chance to get by , in situations like these.

Hah! You just said those words. Well, I'm gonna keep carrying so tough titties for you. Aww, don't be so sensitive. You shouldn't start deciding who you think should and shouldn't have rights. That's how the liberals think.

Just stop being a jerk. I gave my opinion that you shouldn't carry because I believe you will probably hurt someone and pay the price for doing that. It's an OPINION!!!

Again, I never said you shouldn't have rights, I implied that YOU should make the choice to act responsibly and not carry.

So stop with the trash talk eh? You're only calling me sensitive and liberal and socialist because those are trigger words. That's a liberal tactic and totally beneath a so-called man of God.

So this has become a daily thing now? New guy joins the forums and posts non stop, with posts that will obviously garner attention? Then the fighting begins. Really?

Well, I am just so flattered you worry about my well being. But I think I'll be ok, I appreciate your heartfelt opinion about my rights. But I'll kindly ignore your opinion, as it has no bearing on my rights. Any man that thinks they know better how I should act and be doesn't understand what being a freeman means truly.

Trash talk? Psh, if you think that's trash talk you are sensitive. And my relationship between my god and myself also doesn't care about your opinion. Now you know how I should worship my god. Damn! You're a wise one! How old are you?

Lethal force is only justifiable as a last resort to prevent death or serious bodily harm to yourself or another.
Are you saying that you are justified in killing a person who is retreating, who is turning away from you, who is unarmed and poses no immediate threat, simply because they "laid hands on you"?
While I support your right to keep and bear arms for your own protection, I also question your wisdom in doing so.

I saw the video I didn't see a retreat, I saw a reaction to a gun, but the guy didn't really start walking away till he was shot. People can kill others with their bare hands easily. Knock an old
Man down you may kill him. I don't doubt he feared for this life. You lay hands on my I will assume you're trying to hurt me in order to incapacitate me, which I'm not gonna let happens

@CombatMechanic , I'm not sorry I called you out on your attitude... this is a forum that is dedicated to promoting firearms and tough talk makes us all look bad. What I dislike about your posts is that you say the big guy got what he had coming because he was acting like a tough guy yet you yourself are talking like a tough guy. Your position can't be supported logically.

At any rate, even tho I like to mix it up (because I'm so sensitive) for the good of the membership, I'm done with you.

IGNORE LIST

Also I'm not as young as I used to be and I don't see myself winning in a match with a fit younger man...

The moral of this story: don't mess with people.

Confront someone when you should really just walk away, and you might get physically attacked.

Physically attack someone over a verbal confrontation and you might get shot.

My question in this story is, when the police responded did they issue her a citation for illegal parking? If not why not. I assume the car was still illegally parked when they arrived.

I recognize that the man was disabled by the time the police responded however I can't see that he would have made it to the DMV for a permit.

The moral of this story: don't mess with people.

True wisdom. This story isn't about guns or gun rights or stand your ground laws. It's about how people treat other people.

There was plenty of parking in that lot. Why choose the handicapped spot? They could have parked closer to the entrance, even. Their actions state "I don't care about others - me first, and to hell with the law."

And the gunman, who appointed him parking monitor? Just who was inconvenienced by the inconsiderate actions of those above? Was it worth a confrontation? I've got one of those handicapped passes, but I think I would have taken the door spot.

We are a nation of too many laws. Blame this one on the ADA. Who needs such nonsense? In Oregon we have handicapped parking at trail heads. HUH? You mean you've got to be 50 feet closer to the start of a 2-mile hike? Give me a break.

Many years ago we had an elderly family friend who was a disabled WWII veteran. He left a leg on Iwo Jima. He had a parking pass, of course, but he said that he rarely used it. He could hobble along fine on his prosthetic leg, and what if someone else came along that really needed that parking spot? He was a good guy, always thinking of others.
