Many thanks for the thoughts but this one is already Way beyond any speedy recovery. The Original break was 18 May 2016(yes, 17 months ago) but because of a Bad diagnosis by the what was supposed to be a "Specialist" I was back on my feet Way too soon. I'm scheduled to go back on 10 November for the 3rd Surgery. The original break was diagnosed as a "no surgery required" which I thought was great. I fell because of Low Blood Pressure and they still haven't come up with a reason and I've fallen Twice more. Each time doing another bit of damage but their still 'practicing' and unfortunately I'm the one they're practicing on so the reason is still hiding.
I too am prone to low blood pressure (cardiac drugs don't help) . I have a doc who I consider the best Cardiologist in the world. He said eat salt. That is all they will do in the hospital, give you a salien IV. It works great when needed. If I am dizzy when I stand up, we take my BP and if it is low, a salty snack or even a salt tablet solves the problem. Good luck with recovery. Most of us seem to fall apart a little at a time after 60.

I don't know what Oregon's laws are, but Washington State is a "no post" state. This applies to private property. However, I would imagine setting up a "shooting range" on a public roadway or thoroughfare would invite some legal problems for oneself.

Does private property need to be posted in Washington State in order for trespass rules to be enforced? | WDFW Help

Can a landowner post their property to No Hunting, Fishing, or Trespassing, and still hunt and fish on their land or allow friends to do so? | WDFW Help

RCW 9A.52.070: Criminal trespass in the first degree.

RCW 9A.52.080: Criminal trespass in the second degree.

We are a "No Post" State but I've run into more than one Judge that the first thing they want to know is: "Is the Land Posted and if not why not?" Or words to that effect and I can't advise anyone to start quoting the RCWs to a Judge.

As far as quoting anything to judges or law enforcement officers, yeah.... not advisable. However, it's always worth knowing the laws if nothing else to keep from violating them. We had some guy hunting deer on our property without our permission. We do not have a problem with hunters or hunting, none whatsoever. If he had asked, probably would have said fine and how much you gonna share?
The problem is, we have animals and us walking around. This was a bow hunter and we have had problems with camo wearing homeless people around here too. Since I always carry ..... he's damn lucky he didn't get shot. Anyhow, our local fish and game guy (who is a decent guy) found out who he was, where he lived, and told me all this. He also said he would take it as far as we wanted to. I said just scare the crap out of him. He said he would threaten to take away his hunting license and gear. Good enough for us.

As a side note. Around here, it's not exactly what I would call hunting when you can walk up to most of the deer and get within 50 feet and they just blink at you.

The deer on the mountain are a bit more wild since they have to deal with predators and hunters, but they have more than once been within stone throwing distance on my property, which is one reason why I have a crossbow now - if SHTF I may need to get meat, and I might be able to get it, even though I don't like venison.

@Provincial, considering you are in the country, how far are you from this roads end? Can you put gunfire detectors that will notify the sheriff every time someone is popping off rounds?
For those who claim illiteracy or lack of language skills, this is hard to misinterpret.

Then may your recovery progress along smoothly, KKG, and may you find the root cause.

My BP is regularly low, around 90/60. Yesterday at the doc's it was high - 114/68. Every time the nurse takes it, her eyes go wide and asks, "are you OK?"

My BP goes to like 60/38.........you are a piker!!!

I don't want to take this away from the OP any further but for many years my BP was in the 140 range and my health was generally good but now it drops to 80something and that just isn't good enough.

Gettin' old ain't fer sissies!

The problem at the gate? The solution is snipers.....snipers with backstops!

Another follow-up: Sunday about noon I approached the Ronco Road gate from Pedee Creek Road. I noticed a pickup parked outside the gate in the middle of Ronco Road. My suspicions were confirmed when I pulled up behind the pickup and saw a man walking from the gate carrying a 10/22 with a 25-round magazine.

I told him that it was not safe to shoot that direction, since I had experieced people shooting my direction twice in the last year. He replied that he was just sighting in his gun after working on it, and "wasn't shooting down the road." I replied that indeed he was, and that any bullets that he fired would end up hitting the trees beyond the road and that the landowner had told the Sheriff that he would swear out a complaint for Criminal Trespass for anyone shooting in that direction.

The fellow wasn't happy, but he put the gun in the truck and took the two beer bottles off the gate tube that he was using as sighting-in targets. Then he left, presumably to find another place to "sight-in" with his beer-bottle targets.
